So one of my goals this year was to put student work up on the walls in my classroom. You see, with 200+ students, how do I put all students' work up? Well that's just it... I don't. I was already collecting sample work from students (you know, keeping the REALLY good ones to show next year's students what their final product should look like), but wasn't doing anything with those samples aside from keeping them in a drawer until the following year. That's when I decided that it was time to put those samples up on the wall. I realized that I don't have to put up samples from EVERY student... meaning, I don't have to put up the eye-sores non-sample work. Below are pictures of what now adorns my very colorful and educational wall. I have already referenced projects on the wall several times... And my 8th graders are reminded of the science they forget from learned in 7th grade. Fun, right? And after receiving numerous emails requesting templates to make some of the foldables shown above, I decided to make a few tutorial posts. You see, my students are AMAZING artists and therefore none of the above projects required templates. Just instructions. So here they are. Organization of Life Foldable Tutorial Cells Foldable Tutorial Cell Cycle Foldable Tutorial Happy Projecting! (I know, I totally made that word up.)

I just made this product for my students to take this week and I decided to put it up on TpT! This download is a test for 2nd grade students to take after studying healthy bodies. My current curriculum focuses on nutrition, exercise, and body systems that work together to promote good health. This test will assess my students' study of: * My Food Plate and the food groups * How to have a healthy heart * Body Systems (BASIC knowledge of circulation, respiration, digestion, my skeleton, my brain, and my muscles) The test itself is only 20 questions on two pages (full test can be seen in thumbnails). I also made a key which is included. Below is a blurb I included to my parents to explain how to study: You will have word banks so you won’t need to memorize definitions. I will also have multiple choice and yes/no questions. Please review the material at home, but remember that the test will be appropriate for a 2nd grade level. The borders are from www.kpmdoodles.com.

Seelbach is my absolute favorite kind of design. It features one of my go-to yarns, and is worked in addictive cables - plus, this easy to wear pullover style has become one of my most-worn sweater silhouettes. I love the flowy, gentle lines in here and the distinct edges each panel creates. The texture is unique, but the cables themselves are easily memorized and much simpler than they appear. Sleeves are worked in stockinette, keeping all the attention on the body. Along each edge of the front and back, side stitches and rib detail make for beautiful shoulders and also create an easy spot for adjusting width if needed. If you are heading out to Stitches West, my Seelbach sample will be in the YOTH booth -- along with lots of Father in tons of colors! Seelbach is knit from the bottom up in 2 pieces (front and back). Once the two pieces are seamed together at sides and shoulders, sleeve stitches are picked up and worked to cuff in the round. Then the collar stitches are also picked up and worked in the round to finish the sweater. Sample shown in Portabella. On both my Mom and my Sis!! Sizes and Yardage per size is listed below: Sizes: 35.5(39.5,43.5,47.5)(50.75,55.5,59)“/ 90.25 (100.5, 110.75,119.75)(128.75,141,150)cm, based on finished circumference around body. Sweater is shown worn with 6”/15.25 of ease, based on bust. I suggest choosing the size that allows for 5-7”/12.75-17.75cm of positive ease for fit as shown. Yardage by size 1000(1100,1250,1400)(1550,1700,1800)yds/ 915(1005,1145,1280)(1420,1555,1645)m needed. Note that yardage may vary with modifications to sizing or with substitute yarns. See test knits if you want to compare their estimates with yours.

One of the most important lessons I learned in yoga teacher training is that everything in the body is connected. Therefore, when my neck hurts, it's usually not something in my neck, but rather something in my shoulders or upper back that's triggering it. Keeping this in mind, I've put together eig
Mat Man: A Fun & Interactive Song (Songs, Circle Time, Puppets, Counting, Social Skills) Sing about body parts while putting Mat Man together. Use this song at the beginning of the year during your “All About Me” or “My Body” theme. But how? Depending on the age and stage of development of your students, you may want to keep all the pieces at first and put Mat Man together yourself as you sing the song for the first time. Then the next time you want to sing the song, give each student one piece of Mat Man before you begin and then they can put him together as the class sings the song. It’s a great way to learn about the parts of the body, working together and taking turns. What's included? - 15 Mat Man pieces - Mat Man song lyrics poster - Mat Man reference poster & - the “Songs We Sing” card (get the full Songs We Sing set here) Please Note... This product was created to provide teachers supplement graphics for the Mat Man song, focusing on body awareness and social skills. I'm cautious about recommending explosive training due to a high risk of injury. That being said, it's an effective way to gain strength when done properly.

To add interest and texture I also grabbed some lace weight suri alpaca/silk blend yarn that I held double.
