It's no mystery that each of us is responsible for our own life. But, with all of the knowledge, technology, and innovation that is at our fingertips, we’re more lost than ever. We are still lacking that essential education on how to lead a really good life. By drawing knowledge from across tradition and time, from neuroscience to ancient wisdom, Tobin Hart reveals that we all possess four essential virtues—presence, heart, wisdom, creation—that help us to build, balance, and integrate our psychological and spiritual life on earth. While these virtues may be universal, the way they live in each of us is unique. With a Spiritual Assessment Matrix (SAM) and expert practices and tools, this highly accessible, thought provoking guide shows each of us how to grow and activate these powers from the inside out. The Four Virtues will help you unlock your extraordinary potential for integrity and love, genius and joy, and bring the best of your humanity into the world. When in balance, these four virtues serve as a contemporary set of ethics, bringing you heart and wisdom, helping you recognize beauty, rekindle awe, and find your own voice. Throughout the lesson students will: 1) Respond to a Bell Ringer that asks them to describe the typical qualities of popular kids. 2) Read a short informational article about Identity v. Role Confusion. 3) Evaluate several short biographies, determining which students would be considered must popular/unpopular. 4) Participate in a group photo gallery in which students discuss the presence and impact of certain cliques in schools. 5) Listen to an audio recording about the difficulties of racial minorities when it comes to developing a personal identity while being a high school student. 6) Create a drawing that best represents their personal identity and describe the meaning of their drawing. 7) Finish with an exit ticket that asks students to correctly describe the Identity v.
