As you study US presidents and US Symbols, students create brown paper bag puppets! Craft Theodore Roosevelt during morning work or center time. During your writing lesson or literacy center, students write facts and glue to the backs of puppets. For extra fun, students read facts they’ve written as they use the puppets to speak! Instructions and Contents: Color pieces. Glue head to bottom of brown paper bag. Glue arms and legs to side of bag to create a puppet! Students write a fact or two on the writing sheet. Awesome recycled kids craft using toilet paper tubes to create a likeable President Abraham Lincoln and President George Washington - great for puppet play.
This Abraham Lincoln paper bag puppet is a fun craft activity for your class for Presidents' Day or anytime! After students are finished making their puppets, they can use them along with read alouds, when giving speeches, to talk to friends, and more. This black and white puppet is ready for students to color, cut out and glue onto a paper lunch bag. This puppet prints on one page to help keep your number of photocopies down. It also includes an image of the finished puppet to show your students an example of what they will make, as well as instructions to assemble the puppet. This puppet is designed to be used with standard size lunch bags, which are 5.12 in x 3.12 in x 10.62 in and are very inexpensive. You will also need coloring supplies, scissors and glue. That's it! An Abe Lincoln puppet for all seasons. Beyond adorable. It's a bobble-head Lincoln. It's a break-dancing Lincoln, or a time-traveling Lincoln--surprised at what he sees. A talking Lincoln, telling what he thinks. Any way you look at it, he's a must-have for kids learning about Lincoln. Trouble is, I'm not sure if I can settle for just Lincoln.
