Portland born, Los Angeles-based photographer Drew Escriva shoots hazy, nostalgic film photography that is playful, emotive and glowing. Shooting primarily on analog film, Escriva captures her subjects mostly during The Golden Hours—that figurative period of time when the rich orange and honey tones of the sun illuminate the sky in soft, poetic light. It’s easy […]
Zainab traveled to London from Dubai for holiday and contacted me to take photos for her while she was here. We met up on literally the only overcast, kind of cold day we’ve had all summer–go figure–but it definitely gave her a traditional London experience for her photoshoot. It was so so lovely to work with Zainab and you can learn more about her and her practice below!
On today's blog, I'll be sharing some of my favorite photos from a yoga branding photoshoot with Divya, a yoga instructor and an author.

The beautiful St. Anthony's is right down the street from me and it really brightens up the neighborhood. It has a really majestic feel to it, and is always comforting and elegant to visit. The grounds are always perfectly manicured, and even moreso this time of year, just in time for the spring communions. As I've
I can't believe we're already starting to wind down on 2015 Seniors- this year has gone by so quickly and I've been able to work with the sweetest girls in the world, including this lovely lady Miss Julia!! It's always fun when my seniors have a chance to wait until spring for their senior pictures…
There are two things I’ve developed a huge passion for in 2019, in-home family sessions and teaching. This was my 4th workshop for 2019 and it was definitely one for the books. I’ve been craving to shoot Kara’s family for sometime and once I saw their home they has started building, I knew I needed
There was an aged man sitting on his porch, smoking, when I came out to take this. He didn't bother me much though, I've started to get used to taking these with people around. After a while he went inside, and another younger guy came out with a little piece of eagle bait yapping at his heels. How inconspicuous. So this creepy man peered over his fence at me while I shot a few more pictures, (Think Wilson in Home Improvment, only creepier.) all the while pretending to look at something in the grass whenever I turned around. This got me a little uncomfortable so I went on down the hill, farther into the trees and out of sight. I stopped to take a few more there. While collapsing my tripod, I heard footsteps on the street nearby. It was the same man, suspenders and all. Now thoroughly agitated, I grabbed my gear and trotted on back to the house. In conclusion--strange people I don't know tend to make me nervous. So I do apologize if you're really a normal sweet person...but if your comments make me uncomfortable you will be blocked.
