Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral that ranges in color from light pink to bright red. It is found in a small number of locations worldwide where other manganese minerals are usually present and great quality is hard to come by. Ametrine is the mineral combination of Citrine and Amethyst. These particulars stones were hand picked at the Tucson Gem shows personally from the vendors of their origin. What you see before you is a beautifully banded rhodochrosite embellished by Ametrine beads, woven in aged copper. This piece comes with a a free 18 inch black faux leather cord for wearing. It weighs 8.7 g and measures at 2.25 inches X .75 inch.
