French artist, Wabé was born in Marseille in 1961. Although her father was a docker, this did not prevent her from practicing sculpture in her free time. Her mother, for her part, was a musician. Immersed in an environment where art had its place, Wabé discovered papier-mâché at the age of eleven. Her passion for this technique has not waned since, and she has made it her trademark. After stopping her training in German, she went to Paris to study art. Graduating from the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1989, she then devoted herself full time to her passion. Her colorful and lively papier-mâché sculptures represent animals and humans in an artistic research that is in line with Niki de Saint Phalle. The artist does not represent reality, but a dream world, an imaginary populated by creatures with bulging eyes. “It is not the material that makes art. It is the gaze. All the gold in the world cannot make laborious work precious. Conversely, a humble material like papier-mâché allows Wabé’s unbridled talent to express itself with a freshness and generosity that leave one dreaming. Wabé does not bother with caution or reverence, she goes poetically with an even step into the little-frequented clearings of today’s art, those where dreamy children play, populating them with animals and wonders.” René TURC, Wabé, “Bifaces and other wonders”, Edition Grandir, 2014. Wabé's work has been exhibited in France and Switzerland in particular.

Tropical rainforest - Biodiversity, Ecosystems, Canopy: Tropical rainforests are distinguished not only by a remarkable richness of biota but also by the complexity of the interrelationships of all the plant and animal inhabitants that have been evolving together throughout many millions of years. As in all ecosystems, but particularly in the complex tropical rainforest community, the removal of one species threatens the survival of others with which it interacts. Some interactions are mentioned below, but many have yet to be revealed. Plants with similar stature and life-form can be grouped into categories called synusiae, which make up distinct layers of vegetation. In tropical rainforests the synusiae
