Do you need a play-based, functional communication system for your students? These simple print and go AAC play-based communication boards are an engaging way to use visuals to support language with two activities that kids love: Play Dough and Blocks. The beauty of this set is that there are 3 different boards for each activity to cater for different skill levels of AAC users (22, 32 and 36 icon boards). Just put out the activity, choose the appropriate boards...and play! ⭐ This set is part of a money saving BUNDLE.⭐ These boards can be used flexibly both individually or in groups with children with ASD, language delays, global development delays and even apraxia. The board are not aiming to replace an AAC system, but are a functional way to introduce visuals and promote communication within play. If you are concerned that your caseload might find these too complex, 9 different choice board strips have also been included so that you can start as simple as "I want...", "I choose...", "First-Next-Then" and then build up to the boards. The choice strips are great for group use too. The play-based communication boards all contain a mixture of vocabulary including: nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions, pronouns, social comments and questions. Having such a range of vocabulary will hopefully give you some more ideas for play as you integrate the language. You will LOVE the language expansion lists that I have provided because it gives specific examples of how to expand from 1 word to 2+words with suggestions including Verb+Noun (Get blocks) and Noun+Preposition (Play dough out). An extra page is provided so that they can be cut individually and used as Velcro based choice boards to start at a more basic level and teach concepts separately before you build up to the use of the boards. =========================================== CONTENTS: ✅ -- 3x communication boards for Play Dough (22 icons, 32 icons, 36 icons). ✅ -- 3x communication boards for Blocks (22 icons, 32 icons, 36 icons). ✅ -- 2x boards of ALL pictures to cut up and use with choice board strips. ✅ -- 9x choice board strips, with an emphasis on core vocabulary. ✅ -- Language expansion word lists for each activity to help move beyond single words. =========================================== Read my blog post: Putting the Play Back Into AAC ⭐ Related AAC Resources:⭐ AAC Board for Baby & Cars+Trucks AAC Board for Trains & Dollhouse AAC Board for Balls & Bubbles AAC Board for Kitchen & Music AAC Board for Crafts & Shopping Do you need FREE ❝100 Trials for Speech❞ no-prep worksheets? Montessori-style game used to teach the human body's internal organs. Students place organs in their correct location on the drawing. This listing is for a DOWNLOADABLE PDF that features all of the artwork needed to create this game. Just print at your convenience! I recommend printing the "body" page onto a nice cardstock and then the "organs" page onto a piece of normal paper. You can then either make your own polymer "stone" as pictured or even just cut them out of thicker cardboard. Glue the organs onto the cardboard to create puzzle pieces and you're ready to begin!

First graders are exploring a variety of musical activities in stations as our school year comes to a close. In first grade we are old pros are reading quarter notes (ta) and barred eighth notes (titi). At the play dough station we practiced making them in a new way! We also worked on creating a treble clef which was quite difficult! Vocal Visualizations are fun! This set features a Star Wars theme. Students vocalized using "ooo", "aaah" and "zzzzzz" like a spaceship. They took turns being the leader and guiding their group to follow the path. So much fun! At another station we used craft sticks to create rhythm patterns using notes and rests that we know. Some groups we quite adventurous and built rhythms that stretched to 30 beats long! Later this summer I'll post a more complete list of the centers that we've worked on this year. Teachers: You can find the Star Wars vocalization activity HERE.
