I have a deep love and appreciation for the beauty and intricacy that nature provides, as well as the texture of the natural objects I find among my adventures both near and far! It is amazing to me how the texture and colors of the river stones I brought home from NY differ from the beach stones I collect around here on the coast. So I have been working with these river stones and loving their feel. I can feel the difference in their spirits, in their energy... Also, I have resonated with the japanese Mori Girls and their style for a long time and it just dawned on me how perfectly these seem to fit in, don't you think?

Vor 14 Tagen hatte ich euch zwei kleine Fischlis aus umhäkelten "Steinen" (eigentlich waren es rundgeschliffene Tonscherben, aber Steine gehen auch) vorgestellt. Dazu gibt es jetzt eine Anleitung. Gestatten: Fred, der Fisch. Das braucht ihr: Häkelgarn und eine Häkelnadel in der passenden Stärke eine Schere einen Gelstift oder Edding einen schön abgerundeten, oval-flachen Flusskiesel oder etwas Ähnliches. Wenn ihr einen Stein nehmt und den Fisch später aufhängen wollt, dann sucht euch einen kleinen Stein. Bekanntlich sind die Dinger schwer. So, es geht los. Ihr häkelt einen Luftmaschenring, den ihr mit sanfter Gewalt gerade noch über die breiteste Stelle des Stein schieben könnt. Alle folgenden Zahlenwerte für die Maschen passen für meinen Stein. Wenn eurer größer, kürzer, kleiner, länger, dicker oder flacher ist, müsst ihr das anpassen. Das Prinzip ist aber denkbar einfach und viel Arbeit steckt in so einem Fischlein auch nicht - probiert es einfach aus. Wer sehr ordentlich arbeiten will, achtet darauf, dass die Maschenzahl durch 4 teilbar ist. Ich hab darauf gepfiffen und einfach losgehäkelt - dem fertigen Fisch sieht man es nicht an. Jetzt häkelt ihr 7 Luftmaschen, überspringt drei Maschen im Ring und häkelt in die vierte Masche des Rings eine Kettmasche. Mit diesen Bögen macht ihr 3 Reihen lang weiter. Ab der zweiten Reihe befestigt ihr die Bögen mit einer festen Masche, die ihr durch die Bögen der vorherigen Reihe führt, nicht durch die Maschen. Hier hab ich dem Fisch im Werden sein Schuppenkleid schon mal angezogen. An dem Punkt wird es Zeit, die Luftmaschenbögen kleiner zu machen. Ihr häkelt noch eine Reihe mit jeweils 5 und eine mit jeweils 3 Luftmaschen pro Bogen. Übrigens geht das Häkeln auch direkt am Stein. Dann spart man sich später die Prökelei, das Ding wieder über den Stein zu zerren. Ich finde es aber schwerer, so gleichmäßige Maschen hinzukriegen und hab außerdem Angst, die Häkelnadel am Stein zu zerkratzen. Zum Abschluss häkelt ihr in jeden Bogen eine feste Masche und schließt das Gebilde flach mit ca. 5 Kettmaschen. Jetzt kommt die Schwanzflosse. Dafür häkelt ihr 5 Luftmaschen, dreht das Häkelstück um und häkelt dann ein doppeltes Stäbchen in die 1. Kettmasche. In die 2. Kettmasche häkelt ihr ein einfaches Stäbchen und eine feste Masche. In die 3. Kettmasche kommt eine Kettmasche, in die 4. eine feste Masche und ein einfaches Stäbchen, und in die 5. eine Doppelstäbchen und fünf Luftmaschen, die ihr mit einer Kettmasche unten wieder abschließt. Bei einem kleinen Stein seid ihr jetzt mit der Schwanzflosse schon fertig. Für meinen ziemlich großen Fisch kam mir dieses Schwänzlein aber doch zu winzig vor, deswegen hab ich noch einen Reihe feste Maschen um die ganze Flosse gehäkelt. Jetzt könnt ihr die Fäden vernähen. Dann müsst ihr das Häkelgebilde nur noch über den Stein fummeln, dem Fischlein auf jeder Seite ein Auge malen und eine Schlaufe zum Aufhängen dran binden. Fertig! Zum Ende vorsichtshalber noch eine Warnung: Dieser Fisch ist ein reines Deko-Objekt und eignet sich nicht als Spielzeug für kleine Kinder!
