I was inspired by the Egyptian symbol of resurrection and rebirth, the dung beetle: it uses detritus to bring forth new life. But this is also just a little beetle bug, because I think bugs are beautiful. And like all of my work, I created the original from which I carved the block. Hand-pressed linocut print on acid-free paper, 5x6 inches (which leaves a little room for matboard if so desired), titled, signed and dated on back. Shipped with care: surface protected with a sheet of tissue parchment, packed between two rigid sheets of recycled paper fiberboard. All of my orders ship with a little sticker too!
