Today on the internet, I found myself getting lost in Jimi's hypnotising style and now I'm just about ready to hit the vintage

All bullet journals are beautiful, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a personal preference on what works for you! I see a lot of people expressing the feeling that Facebook and Instagram communities are overrun by arty and creative journals, but the minimal journalers are definitely out there! I personally love all types of journals, and I really admire the simplicity and beauty of minimal spreads, so I put together a list of accounts to check out for some inspiration! Recommended Supplies: Journal – As always, it will be no surprise to you that my pick is the Archer and Olive Journal. The lovely and thick pages have no bleeding or ghosting, so you get a clean start for every project spread! Also, it means you can decorate the spread without worrying about it. Pencil – To carefully plan out your ideas so you can make sure your spread has everything you need. Fineliners –My favourites are the Unipin fineliners as they’re waterproof, affordable and have a strong nib. Decorative Touch (optional) – Just because you’re being minimal, it doesn’t mean you can’t mix it up. If you want to add a little washi tape or colour, you do you! ANOUK | @ANOUKSBULLETJOURNAL [Image by @anouksbulletjournal on Instagram] If you’re looking for stunning minimal spreads, you need to go check out Anouk on Instagram. Her spreads are absolutely perfect, showing you the minimum you need to add to a spread for it to be functional. [Image by @anouksbulletjournal on Instagram] She also regularly includes some simple adult doodles into her spreads which I absolutely love! MARIANA | @BUJOTOTHEMINIMAL [Image by @bujototheminimal on Instagram] Another amazing minimal bullet journaller is Mariana. She posts so many amazing different layouts, all extremely stunning and really accessible for all artistic ability levels. [Image by @bujototheminimal on Instagram] She also sometimes includes some gorgeous line drawings, mainly flowers and butterflies. If you want to see a variety of layouts, I really urge you to check her out! AARTIE | @LEELAJOURNALS [Image by @leelajournals on Instagram] Aartie’s spreads just continue and continue to inspire me. Her spreads are extremely clean and functional. [Image by @leelajournals on Instagram] Whilst some spreads do include a little decoration, the patterns are stunningly minimal. Though one thing I love about her spreads is you could easily take those elements out and each spread would still work as intended. STINA | @SUPERMASSIVEBLACKINK [Image by @supermassiveblackink on Instagram] Stina has the ability to make the most breathtakingly gorgeous spreads with very minimal decoration. She regularly utilises line designs in her spreads, and her daily spreads really represent the basics of bullet journaling. [Image by @supermassiveblackink on Instagram] If this sounds like your style, make sure to go check her out! AMIZA | @AMIZAOMAR [Image by @amizaomar on Instagram] One of my favourite minimal accounts has to be Amiza’s. She creates the most perfect spreads with small colourful doodles that make each page pop. [Image by @amizaomar on Instagram] Also, she regularly includes really inspiring quotes in her spreads. If that sounds like something you would like, definitely check out her work! AMALIE | @NORTHERNPLANNER [Image by @northernplanner on Instagram] If you want minimal layouts but still want to include some detailed sketches, then you need to check out Amalie. Her journaling is so unique! She creates the most stunningly minimal spreads, but she includes the most amazing illustrations. [Image by @northernplanner on Instagram] Her spreads are amazing with or without the illustrations. Also, you could always get inspiration from her spreads, but use stickers, stamps or washi tape to bring in your own touch. Overall, always remember all bujo’s are beautiful! I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for getting started with some minimal spreads in your bullet journal. If I have, I would love to see, so tag me on Instagram (@hayleyremdeart) and use #hayleyremdeinspired to get the chance to get your creations featured in my stories!

Moda's sales reps are showing quilt shop buyers another color collection of my Best of Morris line. We printed a separate line of the same prints called the Morris Jewels. Yardage is scheduled to be delivered mid-July with pre-cuts like Layer Cakes in early summer. Morris Jewels in Pink Garnet colorway Here's the description: William Morris meets pure color in The Morris Jewels. Fabric historian Barbara Brackman has updated favorite prints by the nineteenth-century design master. Twenty-first-century color means jewel tones that give today’s quilters a range from pink garnet and emerald green to sapphire blue and topaz. You’ll love putting color on color with these classic yet contemporary prints. Emerald Ruby Sapphire Blue Topaz See a PDF with more information by clicking here: http://www.modafabrics.com/fcc_the-morris-jewels.pdf Spectacular fabric calls for spectacular plans. I haven't seen a square inch of this fabric YET, but I have been Photoshopping. I'm thinking explosions of color. Maybe tamed with a yellow Bella Solid as a neutral. Lime Green always makes a good neutral. The inspiration here is those turn-of-the-century Pennsylvania stars. Actual Star quilt from southeastern Pennsylvania about 1880-1920. From Cowhollow Collectibles. William Morris meets the Pennsylvania Mennonites. Virtual Star quilt The collection also offers 10 colors shaded in Grunge fashion, adding another layer of texture. Would William be on board? He WAS a radical in many ways. More Photoshopping for inspiration I can Photoshop a lot better than I can sew so these are not going to get made. Unless, of course, you readers accept the challenge. Scaling back the dream blocks...... Here's a pattern for a 32" block from BlockBase & EQ7 And a link to a pattern Lissa did for McCall's Quilting about a year ago, using 2-1/2" Moda JellyRoll strips. They offer a free download. You could re-color it, sorta like this. http://www.mccallsquilting.com/mccallsquilting/articles/Lone_Star_Wall_Hanging_FREE_Strip_Pieced_Quilt_Pattern
