How Warming Up Before Exercise Can Help Protect Your Body : We all know how important it is to take care of our physical bodies—particularly if you love
I created this Fitness game to be taught in person or virtually. The teacher or a student's partner can pick a Color Pattern for your students to follow, i.e. "green, yellow, pink, blue, orange." Students will do the 4 exercises/movements in that color box before moving on to the next color in the pattern. Each color box includes a locomotor movement (jog, skip, jump, etc), a lower body exercise and an upper body exercise. You could print this out and laminate it to hand out to students to use. They could pick their own color pattern "pink, blue, orange" and do the associated exercises, or they could pick one or two colors to do. Partners could work together and pick a different color pattern each time! Keep this resource, and change the color pattern the next time you teach it! This Halloween Warm Up activity is a “fun and exciting” way to get kids in the Fall spirit. This is perfect for PE or classroom teachers and is designed for use with a wide range of ages for students in grades Kindergarten through 6th. This PE Halloween Warm Up Activity can be used in small groups, partners, stations or as a large group activity. This “Bootiful” game can be implemented in a gymnasium or a large empty classroom space using typical PE equipment with a few extra “Halloweeny” additions to keep it fun and exciting for your students. I create a playlist to go along with the theme for each warm up page. Get creative and have some “Spooktacular” fun with this game. This Halloween Warm Up Activity was created to meet the SHAPE National PE Standards and will reinforce many of the concepts that a typical PE teacher would use throughout the school year. Use this activity in the weeks leading up to Halloween to get your kids up and moving, working on fitness, agility, fine motor skills and cooperation. Kids love Halloween and will enjoy the Halloween Activities included in this fun game. My students beg me to play this game every year! They are so busy having fun they do not even realize just how much exercise they are getting. Many of my Elementary colleagues have borrowed this game for their classroom Halloween parties. Although this activity is perfect for Elementary aged students I have played this game with my Middle School Volleyball Team and they loved it.
