The month of November has recorded the highest monthly value of PE/VC exits ever with 25 exits worth $2.7 billion. The month also witnessed investments worth $2.9 billion across 56 deals. Large value deals (over $100 million) are emerging as a highlight in 2017. There were two PE backed IPO in November 2017 which saw Kedaara selling 13.6 per cent stake in Mahindra Logistics for $65 million and Reliance Alternative Investment Fund selling 33 per cent stake in Khadim for $68 million.From a sector perspective, Telecom topped the charts in spite of one deal due to the $1.5 billion exit by Qatar Foundation Endowment. New Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) Private Equity-Venture Capital (PE-VC) firms investments in India fell by 29 per cent in 2022 compared to the record highs of 2021.
Downside risks that can temper growth expectations and PE/ VC investment activity include rising inflation, oil prices, dollar appreciation vs Indian Rupee and rising Indian interest rates, EY partner Vivek Soni said.

Real estate is expected to have the most deals, followed by manufacturing, but it's seen as the riskiest sector. Despite enough funds, competition is rising. They expect a total investment of US$5–10 billion in private credit deals in 2024. Looking ahead, optimism is slightly higher for the next two to five years compared to the next one to two years.
