A shadow diamond cable dominates this a-line sweater with a curved flattering hem. I-cord bands frame the bottom of the sweater, while garter stitches mark the sides and the round neckband. Knitting Pattern for a light, romantic blouse with puffy sleeves, girly frills and a decorative button row at the back. Due to the special construction of the blouse you can change sides easily and wear it as a classic version - with the button row at the front. The blouse is knitted in stockinette stitch - except the button rows, the round neck and the hems for the sleeves: these are knitted in moss stitch pattern. First you knit the body of the blouse in one part until its divided into three parts to form the armholes. Afterwards the sleeves are attached directly to the body of the blouse and are knitted up to a 3⁄4 length . In the end the frills are added to the bottom of the blouse and you attach a round neck hem in moss stitch pattern to the front and back parts. Available in sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL und XXL. Measurements: The finished garment has 100, 106, 116, 124, 134, 142 cm bust circumference with a positive Ease of 15 to 20 cm. You need: 300 - 500 g light cotton-alpaca yarn, e. g. “Ecopuno” by Lana Grossa (215 m/50 g), 9 - 11 little buttons (ca. 13-18 cm), 4.5 mm circular knitting needles, needle & thread. Max Alexander's knitted moths are incredible - I am simply blown away. LOVE! I also like the irony of using wool to knit moths - normally that combination strikes fear into the heart of every knitter/crocheter I know!
Miette #2 ~ Just in time for the chilly days ahead. It’s for fall so this time i made it in wool and extended the sleeves all the way. Photos were taken pre-blocking. Being an in-between size there is hardly any negative ease around the body so I’m hoping washing/blocking will shrink it down a little bit. Will update on that soon.. Post-washing update (Top 3 photos): Got the negative ease i wanted! It went down about an inch overall.. I’m very pleased with the results. I think the dryer did the trick… handwash, squeeze out as much water as u can with a bath towel (roll with it). Then placed it flat on a rack inside the dryer for about 20 mins on low heat. Con’t letting it dry on it’s own for another 2 days. No blocking necessary. Gauge after wash: 20sts = 4” Mods: Gauge @ 18sts = 4” Follow M size. M1 instead of kf&b on raglan inc. ~ on hindsight i could have just follow the pattern… Waist shaping - begin at 2” below armhole, dec 2 sts each side every 4th round. Reverse twisted ribs to face inside (k2, p2tbl) ~ i find the sts looks nicer n matches the body better this way ;) Full sleeves - dec every 13th round 7 times starting from underarm ending with 40 sts on last round before lace pattern.

I've seen alot of fitting issues in the sewing community and I wanted to throw my two cents in of the fitting issues I have of my own. This is labeled as part I because I'm sure there will be a part II and III and IV and however many. Let's just say this is going to be a journey for me and if you?
This dress, shorts, and leggings for Baby Alive® is done with a knit two together, yarn over row that when hemmed creates a picot edging. The pattern was designed for a 12” baby doll, and is pictured on Baby Alive®. The dress is worked from the bottom up in two pieces, the sleeves are knitted separately, and all four pieces are joined at the bodice and finished as one piece using raglan shaping and creating an opening in the back. The legs of the leggings and shorts are worked separately, and joined in one piece at the torso. They are finished by sewing the leg seams and the back seam. The leggings have the same picot trim as the dress. This outfit was done with stash yarn; any DK weight will work.
Hanna’s generous turtleneck pullover presents undulating cables which cascade over the body. The shoulders and slightly-fitted sleeves are delicately cupped with German short rows. Worked from the top down in our lofty wool/alpaca blend, Owl, we think Tessa is the perfect go-to piece on chilly days where a warm sweater hug is in order.
