So I learned how to make this pinwheel from Judi - my Stampin' Up friend/demonstrator. I am just going to show you the pinwheel not the card - you can see a card I did here. Sorry I do not have the ability of doing a video.. someday I'll get with it. (OMG do people say that any more) So here are the directions and measurement. Cut two of the same color of solid cs pieces at 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" Cut 4 (or used a 1 1/4" punch) squares in coordinated cs pieces Cut 4 1 1/4" x 1/4" (or use a punch) in a printed paper. My cs and pattern paper is from SU. Ok - lets put these together. Glue one 2 5/8" square to the other to create a 8 pointed "star" Glue one pattern cs 1 1/4" square to one of the points (only put a little - you'll see why when we glue on the last square. Glue the solid 1 1/4" square to the next point - you can see the pinwheel happening Continue to glue the rest (but leave the last one for a sec Now put glue on the last squared and tuck it under the first one you put down. Here is the finish item - I glued a silver pearl to the middle

Oh I LOVE this Fun Fold Card idea!! I had never seen this fold before until I attended a 4 day retreat in So. California in February. Amy Combs hosted the retreat and this fun fold card pattern was my favorite card idea! The great thing is, it basically uses up 1/2 a sheet of 12x12 DSP (Designer Series Paper) with minimal cutting and just 3 score lines, AND showcases both sides.. I think that's the best part! There are 4 different ways you can make this card. I'll be highlighting them in my Facebook Live today at 10am PT.

Hi lovely readers. I know you love looking at these quilts – when my mum had the chance to quilt another one I took lots of photos for you. For the inevitable question – it’s ‘Farmyard Patches’ from www.craftcubby.com.au – enjoy!
As the weather is so terrible at the moment I thought you might like to see a picture that reminds me of the summer. The picture is a seascape with blue sky, sun shining on to the turquoise sea, golden sands and gently flowing surf. The back of our house overlooks the bay, so I spent many happy times watching the effect of the sun on the water. I have made the picture using machine knitted felt but it could easily be made using fabrics, hand made felt or needle felting. I have continued the wool theme and used textured wool yarn couched down to represent the waves. Finally running stitches and French knots of varying thicknesses were added for additional colour and texture with a few Tumblechips sewn on to catch the light. At the moment the skies are charcoal, the rain is pouring and the waves are crashing on to the beach driven by the strong winds.
