TAMIYA 1/48 LOCKHEED P-38 F/G LIGHTNINGThis WWII fighter was a daring design with twin booms and a piston engine in each, plus a central nacelle which housed the cockpit and armament (machine guns and cannon in the nose). Introduced in June 1941, the aircraft went on to be used extensively in the Pacific through WWII. The F variant was manufactured from April 1942 onward, and featured pylons for 150-gallon drop tanks to make it capable of longer bombing missions. Later P-38Gs had more powerful engines and could carry bigger 300-gallon drop tanks. The P-38 was used for interception, dive bombing, level bombing, ground attack, night fighting, photo reconnaissance, radar and visual pathfinding for bombers and evacuation missions, and extensively as a long-range escort fighter when equipped with drop tanks under its wings.• 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit. Fuselage length: 240mm, wingspan: 330mm.• P-38F and P-38G variants can be built.• The model creates a parked aircraft when assembled and complete.• Features accurate depictions of early P-38 features such as slimline engine cowlings, intercoolers in leading edges, plus the curved canopy front.• Weights are included in the kit to ensure correct balance of the model when displayed.• The canopy can be assembled open or closed. When closed, it is a 1-part slide-molded piece with dedicated F and G variant parts. The hatch is shown open sideways on the P-38F, and vertically on the P-38G.• A detailed cockpit features the wheel-type controls, radio, throttle box and more.• Comes with parts to recreate two each of 150- and 300-gallon drop tanks.• Includes two marking options: “White 147” P-38G which took part in the interception of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto in April 1943 and “White 33” P-38F• Mirror stickers are included to recreate cockpit mirror and engine cowling interior surface sections.• Comes with canopy masking stickers and a full-color painting guide.
Description This snapdragon variety is the first to bloom and one of the most popular crops of early summer. These beautiful butterfly-like blooms resemble upturned petticoats on dancing ladies. Flowers are bubblegum-pink with a darker watermelon throat that is creamy white on the reverse. The two-toned effect reminds us of cherry blossoms. Details Plant type: hardy annual Height: 36 to 48 in Site: full sun Days to maturity: 100 to 110 days Plant spacing: 9 in Pinch: when 4 to 5 in tall Seed Sowing & Growing Notes Start seed indoors in trays 8 to 10 weeks before last frost; transplant out once the weather has warmed. Seeds are very small; bottom-watering is recommended until plants emerge. Harvesting/Vase Life Harvest when just the bottom 2 or 3 flowers are open before they can be pollinated by insects. Expect a vase life of 7 to 10 days.

Game development introduced me to programming when I was around 10 years old, and I’ve loved it ever since. One of the first formal algorithms I learned before entering university was A* (pronounced “A star”), and I really had a great time learning about it. It’s one of the most widely used pathfinding algorithms and is one that you would likely be introduced to first when approaching the subject of pathfinding. A pathfinding algorithm takes a start point (also known as a node) and a goal and attempts to make the shortest path between the two given possible obstacles blocking the way.
Now that we have a good idea of how our A* platforming algorithm will work, it's time to actually code it. Rather than build it from scratch, we'll adapt an existing A* pathfinding system to add...

Mathematical Labyrinths. Pathfinding provides an overview of various non-standard problems and the approaches to their solutions. The essential idea is a framework laid upon the reader on how to solve nonconventional problems -- particularly in the realm of mathematics and logic. It goes over the key steps in approaching a difficult problem, contemplating a plan for its solution, and discusses set of mental models to solve math problems. The book is not a routine set of problems. It is rather an entertaining and educational journey into the fascinating world of mathematical reasoning and logic. It is about finding the best path to a solution depending on the information given, asking and answering the right questions, analyzing and comparing alternative approaches to problem solving, searching for generalizations and inventing new problems. It also considers as an important pedagogical tool playing mathematical and logical games, deciphering mathematical sophisms, and interpreting mathematical paradoxes. It is suitable for mathematically talented and curious students in the age range 10-20. There are many 'Eureka'- type, out of the ordinary, fun problems that require bright idea and insight. These intriguing and thought-provoking brainteasers and logic puzzles should be enjoyable by the audience of almost any age group, from 6-year-old children to 80-year-old and older adults.
