I am a Notion Girlie. And no matter how cliché it may sound, there is nothing more exciting for a notion girlie than preparing for the next year. Today we talk about reflecting on the past year, making a vision board, setting up our goals, and of course crushing them! All that in one place, NOTION. And as January 1 starts on a Monday, I feel even more excited for the year to come. I am sharing with you the Notion Template that I will use this year to set up my goals. Basically, it’s my roadmap to success. So Buckle up bestie, we're diving deep into the magic of manifesting success and planning goals that stick. Little introduction or back story if you prefer I am a huge dreamer - perhaps growing up in an artistic family and my ADHD played a big part in that. But ever since I was little, I have always dreamed of having lots of projects, starting a company (or multiple), exploring the world, and writing a book, … But reality kicked in really quickly, and I soon realized that life was way harder than I imagined it You don’t always have the right chances or tools to start all these projects, people won’t always help you like they said they would, and childhood traumas, and the list goes on. So after burnout, heartbreaks, friendship breaks ups, and losing myself to please everyone but me, I decided it was time to take back control of my life. On this blog, I’m sharing the untold story of what it’s like to work on your dreams, all the ups and downs, and no sugar coating. And for the curious ones; I also have a French version of my blog which is called Almost CEO. Now how to turn 2024 into the best year everok, this is what you came here for, so let’s get it started. THE NOTION TEMPLATE JUST HERE step 1: Reflect on your goals, the long-term vision, and your “why”Before we jump into the nitty-gritty of goal setting, let's set up the stage. We tend to jump into goal setting without really understanding why we want certain goals. We say “I want to go the gym 3 times a week”, or “I want to look fit” when really all we want is to feel confident in our own bodies. Understanding the why behind your goals, will reveal your true desire and help you stay motivated longer and find better ways to achieve those goals. Maybe there is another way for you to feel more confident than by going to the gym. For example, I went to the gym and yes I did feel stronger and as I was losing weight I started to feel better, but I really started feeling confident when I started taking heels dance classes again. I felt more empowered and confident in my femininity, and I appreciated the way my body moved. → Start by writing down what you want and try to reflect on why you want those things. Journaling can be really helpful for this. And there you have it, your why is your goal. Related: How to choose your goals // Goal setting 101 part 2 Related: How to achieve your goals using the Golden Circle // Goal setting 101 part 3 Step 2: Find a general theme for 2024I like to create a general theme for my year. It can be a word, a quote, or a phrase, but something that will remind me of the vision I want for this year. Pick a theme that resonates with your vision. Step 3: Divide Your Goals into CategoriesNow you have all your goals (your WHYs) it’s time for the fun part. Break down your goals into categories that align with your overarching theme. Themes can be: career, personal development, or adventure, this step ensures a well-rounded approach to success. The themes that I will be using this year are: Adult life (as I just want to be more organized, disciplined, etc), Lifestyle (traveling, my bucket lists, etc), Money and finance, business and SELF (taking care of my mental health, my body, etc) Step 4: Set Up Action Steps for Each GoalNow you have your whys and your overarching categories, but it’s time to put in the work - yes, even manifesting requires some work, my dear. For each goal find all the steps you need to For example, I want to take my French blog a step further and make it in the long run a lifestyle brand. Here are the steps that I need and want to take this year Post regularly Optimized the blog (keep learning about SEO & blogging) Start a podcast Start all the social media for the blog .. It might be a bit overwhelming to see all the steps you need to take, but do not worry, you don’t need to do everything all at once. That’s also the reason that we plan a year, to have enough time and structure to achieve them. Step 5: Divide the Year into 12-week CyclesI made an article on this book called the 12-week year, so if you need more details about it you can read it just here. But this book is a game-changer and I really recommend you add it to your TBR. Basically, it says that you can achieve way more in 12 weeks than in a full year. Why? Because a year seems way too long, so we tend to wait for certain actions. 12 weeks is just short enough to stay motivated but long enough to make real progress. related: Why you should start the 12 week year Of course, I had to incorporate that in my Notion. Break your year into four powerful 12-week cycles, where you will have specific sub-goals (your actions) you want to achieve. At the end of each cycle, I include one week dedicated to resetting and preparing for the next cycle. This is where the magic happens! I reflect on what worked, and what didn't, and fine-tune the goals for the upcoming cycle. But I also take a break from all that hard work. And trust me, you’ll need that break. Step 6: Head to Pinterest for Vision Board InspirationNow the fun part, let’s get creative. Head to Pinterest and curate a vision board that captures the essence of your goals. Choose images that really portray what you want to achieve and that make you feel something - and try to make them as specific as possible. Hang your vision board somewhere you will see on a daily basis so that your mind keeps working on it unconsciously. GOLDEN TIP 1: Avoid images where you can see people’s faces. Your vision board should be about you. GOLDEN TIP2: I posted private stories on Instagram like I was living the goals. I made a screenshot of it and added them to it. It’s way easier to envision sipping champagne in business class flying to Seoul when you see yourself posting in on your stories. I think I’ll make a blog post on how to choose images that really help you manifest. This is something I’ve been fine-tuning for years, and as everything on my vision board this year happened once again - I think I really got the hang of it. related: WHY YOU NEED A VISION BOARD TO FINALLY ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS Related: Why you need to start using a vision board Step 7: Now, Time to Put in the WorkWith your goals, themes, and action steps in place, it's time to roll up those sleeves and dive into the work. Whether it's hustling on your business or leveling up your skills, this is where the magic happens. Each cycle you have your actions, now plan them in your agenda. Your why and your vision board are there to help you stay motivated. I am also planning to make my own agenda from scratch this year, as soon as that is done this is another template that I will be sharing with you ;).
