It’s almost Christmas Day and tomorrow we have all the family and extended family coming to our house to celebrate! These Double Pocket Teabag holders make a cute little token gift with a tea…
I figured I'd better get this posted before the kitty completely wrecked it by knocking it repeatedly off my display table, batting it around the floor, and chewing it to death! {New Social Media Definition: proCATStination...waiting to take pictures and post them to your blog, until AFTER you've rescued your subject matter from imminent destruction at the paws and/or jaws of feline(s).} Anyway, I learned about this adorable pouch thru a fellow demonstrator, who was demoing it at Stampin' Up!'s San Antonio Regional. Unfortunately, I was demoing something else at the same time, so it took me a while to catch up with the instructions for making it. There's a place for a card in the front, a teabag in the back, and some cookies in the center! [Click any image to see it full-size.] Pouch Instructions: Start with 8-1/2"x12" paper or card stock. Our 12x12 Designer Series Papers are ideal, not only for size, but also because of the contrast the double-sided patterns provide. Score parallel to the 8-1/2" side at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 5", 7", 9-1/2", and 10-3/4". Score parallel to the 12" side at 2-1/2" and at 6". Cut the 2-1/2" squares from each corner. Fold the four center corners in half diagonally, each tip pointing towards the center. Fold in the short sides. Fold in the long sides. Fold back each top edge. Punch holes thru top for string or bow. If you want to put treats in a bag in the center, punch your holes close together, so they can gather the top of your bag when you pull them tight. Place cookies or treats in 3x5 Small Cello Bag, then tuck bag in the center of your pouch, and then tie your knot or bow. (TIP: tying a bow allows the recipient to open without ripping.) Okay, I'm gonna show you a quick video walk-through for a visual. I know you're a busy crafter, so I'll keep it short and to the point. I'm a busy crafter, too, so please excuse the rough cut of the video. Really, you should only need to see it once, and after that, you'll easily be able to refer to the text instructions above. Seriously, you NEED the FREE Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, and the FREE Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack for this project. During Sale-a-Bration, you can pick one item FREE for each $50 you spend, or if you Host a Workshop with $400 in sales, you get the paper, ribbon/brad pack, AND a coordinating stamp set...ALL FOR FREE! My teenage daughter is not a froo-froo person, but immediately upon seeing this project, she said the paper and the coordinating ribbon make this project scream "Mother's Day". But the FREE supplies are only available through March 31st, so get yours NOW! Stampin' Supplies: Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Small Cello Bag (3x5), Crop-a-Dile. Happy Thursday everyone! It's Joni here with a quick and easy tutorial for a little treat holder using your favorite 6x6 sheets of designer papers and wonderful products from DCRU. Last month I had the opportunity to attend a Meet and Greet with 20 other crafters. Everyone swapped ideas and I am so excited to share this one with you! To begin you will need: 6x6 sheet of designer paper (double sided works well) adhesive embellishments Now let's begin! Start with a 6x6 piece of paper and score horizontally: Fold paper in half, forming a triangle: Fold one side over, bringing the point halfway across the plane: Repeat on the other side: Last step: Fold down top flap to create a pocket: Adhere and embellish! This is a great project for a quick hostess or teacher's gift, for little treats as well as gift cards (tucked behind the peppermints), or even as birthday party favors. It's so fun that the kids can make these themselves for a craft! As you can see, tea bags fit perfectly into a 6x6 size. Follow the same directions to create 8x8 treat holders to accommodate hot chocolate packets and bigger snacks. You can find all these wonderful 6x6 papers HERE at DCRU with the most amazing prices. Thank you so much for coming by everyone, be sure to let us know if you've tried this out! Have a wonderful day. :) ~*Joni

Used the Little Treat Holder die set I had bought recently at a used stamper's sale for this Ghirardelli treat holder for the 4th of July: This holder holds two of the Ghirardelli candy bars. I used various card stocks for the holders and this die set cuts out two holders from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock. I used the Sizzix Rosette die set to cut out the rosettes from various patriotic prints I had in the stash. For the scalloped pieces behind the rosettes I used a punch to cut those out. For the flag button on the front of the rosette I had to cut off the pin backing on the button - here is a photo to show the flag button, then with the pin attachment on the button, and then a piece I had used wire cutters on to remove the pin part: To put the flag button in the center of the rosette I used a small amount of E6000 and hot glue to put a piece of foam tape on the back of the button. Then I did the combination of those two adhesives to put this button in the center of the rosette: Once the candies were in the holder I used red and white twine to close it. Added clear crystal bling to each corner on the front to add a little sparkle. Easy holders to put together as when the die cuts the shape it also has all the score lines so it is easy to assemble. Here is a photo of the next project:

Having a tea party soon? I've got some great projects you can use as party favors, or maybe just a little gift for a friend who could use a cup of tea. When I first looked through the Occasions catalog, the Tea Together stamp set was the last thing I thought I would be buying as I don't drink tea! However, I love pretty tea pots and tea cups and after seeing so many amazing projects from other stampers, I couldn't resist buying the stamp set myself. I got the awesome matching framelits for free with the Sale-A-Bration special. I have really loved playing with this sweet set! Project 1--Scallop Tag Tea Packet Holders I saw some gorgeous tags made my Peggy Noe and knew I wanted to case her idea and turn the tags into tea packet holder.
