The paper bead roller is 4" long x 8mm (0.31") outer diameter x 4.5mm (0.18") inside diameter. The photographs were taken outdoors in natural light. ***The inside diameter is big enough for chain, ribbon, leather, suede or rubber straps etc. to go through which will make it a lot easier to make a paper bead necklace! The necklace will have a more sleek finished look.*** You can make longer earrings, longer dangles for a necklace etc. You can make 3 1" beads at the same time! These rollers are vintage industrial machine parts. I clean them with 2 alcohol swabs before I wrap them & I send an extra alcohol swab & a pipe cleaner for your use. We don't want anything from the roller getting on pretty paper, cloth or high end wall paper! I want happy customers so please contact me with any questions before you make your purchase! Thank you to all who have viewed my listing, have a good one! Here's the link to the 1st page of my shop: www.OldLadyWhite.com Live Long And Prosper! WARNING ~ CHOKING HAZARD My Jewelry and other items contain small parts that could be a choking hazard for babies and small children. Please keep all jewelry out of reach of both babies and small children up to 14 years of age. ***When I was making paper beads I used high end wall paper samples for my beads. The wall paper was thicker than other paper but it rolled up nicely using one of these metal rollers!***

Just the other day, I thought that I could only use maximum four colours using the shell shape quilling method But yesterday I realised that I could use more than that! I was just playing with the thought of using rainbow colours and tried it out first with my shredded papers to see if it could work. To my surprise, it did work although it was very time consuming and difficult to handle. The shredded papers were a lot more difficult to handle because they are very small. They are 3mm wide and it seems that it's easier to use the 5mm quilling papers than the 3mm ones because when you've finished combing all the coloured papers, it's difficult to push the 3mm papers with the tweezers. So, I used the 5mm quilling papers instead. I really love how the petals turned out looking like heart shapes instead of shell shape. Especially the red and orange papers inside each petal. They really stand out. At first I did want to make flowers arrangement with the petals but I decided to make a mandala instead. I've never made one before. This is my first time trying so please excuse me if I am not doing it right. I'm just having fun with it. I've seen a lot of samples out there where people use quilling to make them. It's seems so much fun arranging the quilling shapes in a circle like that. As you can see from the photo above, I am in the process to make the mandala to decorate on my handmade cards. Just a small one. Nothing too complicated. Hope to make a few of them soon! ;)

CHOOSE FROM 5 SIZES: 1 - Tip Diameter 13/64" (5mm) - metal slot 3/4" 1 - Tip Diameter 5/32" (4mm) - metal slot 3/4" 1 - Tip Diameter 1/8" (3mm) - metal slot 3/4" 1 - Tip Diameter 5/64" (2mm) - metal slot 3/4" 1 - Tip Diameter 1/16" (1mm) - metal slot 1" or more Paper bead rolling can be a tedious and frustrating chore as you work with various homemade tools ranging from toothpicks to straws to bamboo sticks, etc. The paper bead roller is a tool you will fall in love with! Just slide the paper into the slot, give it a quick turn and you are off to a fast start. You don't have to worry anymore about keeping the paper on the tool as the slot will hold it there for you. The slot is wide enough that it works equally well with recycled paper, card stock and other paper mediums. This tool will roll beads as thick as you want with a hole diameter that correlates to the diameter of the metal tip and the finished bead will easily accommodate elastic cord, leather cord, hemp cord, and other stringing materials that do not exceed that diameter. **The stainless metal tip has a slit running down the center and completely through the metal on both sides. Length of slit is 3/4" or longer. **Handle is approximately 4" long and 1/2" in diameter and is made from wood that is covered with vinyl rubber. **Can be used for quilling and paper bead rolling. The slotted opening in the metal tip is wide enough that it works equally well with recycled paper, card stock and other paper mediums. My paper bead rollers are made by hand. The wood handle is cut, sanded, drilled and a stainless steel metal tip is inserted. Then the wood handle is inserted into a piece of vinyl rubber that is tough and provides a soft, cushiony feel as you work with the roller. The rubber handle makes cleanup quick and easy. Do not use an abrasive scrubber on the handle as that will mar the grip. Using a kitchen sponge or just your hands with soap and water will do a quick clean up. If you enjoy quilling, it will work well for that also and allow you to use thicker and wider strips of paper. **Note: Metal slots in roller tips are all less than 1" in length with the exception of the 1/16" roller that can have up to 1 1/2" slot in the tip. If you would like the longer tip on that roller you must put the request in the comments section of your order. All dimensions are approximate and can vary. NOTE: Length, and diameter of metal head and width of length of paper slot may vary slightly. Moisture causes wood to contract and expand. Because of this natural process, there may be an occasion when a metal tip may fall out or begin to spin in the roller. There isn't any type of glue or epoxy that will bond metal to wood forever. Therefore, I cannot guarantee this will never happen. However, if it falls out, you can re-secure it easily with epoxy glue. IMPORTANT: Paper bead rollers are designed to hold paper strips in place while you roll. Metal tips can be bent and damaged. Please take care not to bend the metal. The smaller in diameter the metal tip is, the more likely it is to bend from undue pressure.
