Wow! With Spring Break happening I've spent SO MUCH TIME in my craft room! Here are a few more cards I've made this week. As a little birthday present to myself I bought the 2018 Anniversary Bundle from Our Daily Bread Designs. It included the all of the circle cuts and quote/verse stamps used. The watering can stamp came from the Happy Birthday stamp set from them, also. This paper is from DCWV Linen Closet stack. I've had it for ages and thought it was too beautiful to use. Here is the birthday watering can. Another birthday present to myself was this brand new stack, Spring Bloom, by DCWV. I'll be hopefully adding more cards soon from that paper line.

Hello and happy Hump day stamping friends! Yes, it is me again, LOL, I saw this weeks Shining The Light Challenge over on the ODBD Blog and just had to play along! This week the challenge is to use Pink/Ivory or White/Tan, well, I like them so much, that I used them all! :D If you have not seen the ODBD paper collection Blushing Rose, I urge you to do so, this paper is so gorgeous and shabby beautiful, it was perfect for this challenge and this is what I came up with Thanks for Your Kindness Recipe: Paper: Vintage Cream, Sweet Blush, Kraft, ODBD Blushing Rose Collection Stamps: ODBD Cherry Blossom Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye Accessories: ODBS Custom Vintage Labels, Vintage Flourish Pattern, Fancy Foliage, Recollection half pearls, roses and rose buds Size: 5.25" x 5.25" So, what do you think, isn't this a fabulous color combination? Happy Friday, stamping friends! Today I am coming to you with a look back at the Our Daily Bread Designs July release. If you have not checked out this fabulous release, you truly are missing out. I invite you to have a look at my card for today where I share the stamp set called "Fragrance" with you in combination with my all time favorite paper collection "Shabby Rose" and some older ODBD Custom dies, which I will list below. The Fragrance Always Stays Recipe: Paper: White, Sweet Blush, ODBD Shabby Rose Collection Stamps: ODBD Fragrance Inks: VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black, Prima Bloom Spray in Cotton Candy, Copic markers, white acrylic paint Accessories: ODBD Custom Dies Matting Circles, Ornate Borders and Flowers, Quatrefoil Pattern (used as a stencil on my BG), pink and white lace, golden glass seed beads This is my card for today's post. The flowers are the softest of pink and do not really show up as such. I think it is time that I invest in a better camera, just gotta convince my husband, lol! If you can see it, after taking a closer look, I have played with some mixed media elements. I have cut the Quatrefoil pattern and used it as a stencil on my Designer Paper, most of it got covered up, but if you look closely, you can still see parts of it. I also used some white acrylic paint and color bloom spray, that is what gave the sentiment die cut the awesome effect, as well on the sides of the flower mat and the BG. It was fun to play around with all of those different products. Please let me know what you think. Please be sure to check out and see what the rest of Breadsticks have come up with here are the links and if for some reason one of them does not work make sure you stop by the ODBD Blog to get the corrected one. Cathy * Julie * Sandee * Dawn * Amy * Lori * Loretta * America * Sabrina (that is me :D) Thanks so much for stopping by today and making my day a little brighter! Have a blessed weekend! Hugs,

It is time again for a Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge! This week you are to make a project with a spring color scheme, plus ribbon. I started out with the green ribbon, and things went on from there! I love the NEW Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper collection! I used some of my scraps to create this card. I am eagerly awaiting my design team box and MORE of this pretty paper! I want all of my friends and long-term fans to sit down for a minute...because...I SEWED on another project! {GASP!} I used a running stitch to create a gathered ribbon flower with the Bud Green double-faced satin ribbon from the February Ribbon Club! I know! Right?! I wrapped the champagne and turftan brown satin ribbon around the card, then glued the green "flower" to the top. The ribbon makes the perfect setting for the paper flowers! This card is for my sister-in-law, who is still in the hospital after a car accident in early January. I made some layers, but it's not too lumpy for mailing purposes! Here is the inside. I have lots of faith-based stamps that need a work-out! I had some help with my photo shoot again... This is Milo. He's 5 months old (will be 6 months on February 22nd). He's so cute, but he is a big pest! He gets into everything and bothers me all the time. He LOVES to play! His personality is very different from our other cat's. But then again, Simon was 14 when he passed away. A kitten is a different kettle of fish! So to speak. {grin} Thanks for looking! Visit the RRR Blog to see the other entries...and to enter your own project! Hi Friends! Today we are taking a look back at the March 2017 Our Daily Bread Designs Release! We are celebrating with a Design Team Blog Hop and I know that you will not want to miss out on the fabulous inspiration from the rest of my ODBD sister “Bread Sticks” - we would love to have you hop along with us: Dawn * Cathy * Lisa * Helen * Kathy * Sandee * Sabrina * Robin * Diana * Lori * Julie (you are here) My card features the Daffodils stamp set along with the coordinating Daffodil Die, Side Step Die, Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies (all from the March release) as well as the previously released Pierced Square Dies and BeautifulBorders Dies. To create this card: 1). Ink the Daffodils floral image with archival black ink and stamp three of the images onto white cardstock. Die cut each with the Daffodil Die and watercolor with watercolor pencils (in case you have never seen purple daffodils, I "googled" purple daffodils for my color combination :-)). 2). Die cut the card base using the Side Step Die from plum cardstock, fold along the score lines. 3). Die cut and emboss two pieces of white cardstock with the medium size die from the Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies, split one in half and mount onto the “steps” of the Side Step Card. 4). Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock with the Beautiful Borders Dies, adhere to the front “step” of the card base. 5). Add the Circle Scalloped Rectangle die cut to the side panel and add the die cut Daffodils image. 6). Stamp the sentiment from the Daffodils stamp set using black archival ink onto white cardstock, set the ink with a heat tool before die cutting and embossing the sentiment with the Pierced Square Dies. Mount the sentiment onto a piece of plum cardstock, trim close to the edge. Mount the sentiment to the side panel and add a few pearls to the corners. 7). Use a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the flowers to finish off the card. I am also linking this card to the Stampin' Royalty #365 Spring Challenge and the Word Art Wednesday #274-#275 "Anything Goes" Challenge. Thanks again for taking the time to stop by- hugs and have a great week, my friends! I love looking at old pictures of our community. Recently, I discovered an online history group for our hometown. And I have been enjoying the old sepia toned pictures of our past. A couple of days ago my first ever Splitcoast Stampers tutorial went live - colouring hair! I did step by step instructions and a video. This post of mine shows the card that I made for the step by step instructions. Here is the card I made for the video: The Video tutorial is available at Splitcoast Stampers or on my You Tube Channel here. I have used Whimsy Stamps - Wyanet (Beautiful) (digi stamp, but she is only available as a rubber stamp at the moment). Copic colours that I used to colour in the image include: Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20 Hair: YR31, E21, E25, E29 Clothes: YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99 and E51, E53, E55 Shoes: E21, E55, E25 Headband: E51, E53, E55, E25 Clouds: C0, C1, C3, C5, W3, B60 Sky: B0000 and B000 Cliff: E42, E44, E47, E49, W3, W5 Feathers: E71, E74, E77, E79 Butterflies: V95, V99, R89 The papers/cardstock I used include Bazzill heavyweight, My Minds Eye - Everyday Tango and the image is coloured on X-Press It blending card. I've used ODBD Clouds and Raindrops Dies to make the clouds, ODBD Pennants dies for the notched banners and Our Daily Bread Designs Mini Tags Sentiments Stamps and ODBD Mini Tags Dies to make the little tag. Lastly I added some chocolate coloured twine. Splitcoast Stampers also has a Colouring Hair gallery especially set up for this tutorial! So if you've read/watched the tutorial and had a go yourself we would love to see you upload your card/colouring to the gallery. My YouTube channel is only brand new so there isn't much there yet, but please do subscribe, as I intend to keep adding colouring videos. I also have a page that has some basic information about Copics - see it here and I teach live Copic and cardmaking classes - I am based in the SouthWest of Western Australia - so if you're anywhere near there and are interested - please send me an email (link at top left of blog). Thanks so much for looking!

Hello friends! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs Sept. release blog hop! I have had so much fun playing with this month's new sets and I think you're going to love them too! If you got here from Sabrina's Scrumptious blog, you are in the right place! If not you might want to pop on over to the ODBD Blog to start at the beginning so you don't miss any thing! Briefly, the Blog hop details: Hop will run from 8am EDT Sept 1 til 8pm Sept 2 To qualify for a prize simply hop to each blog, leave a comment and return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop and which set you loved best! Winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Sept 3 There will be FOUR FANTASTIC PRIZES! Three winners will win their choice of one free set and one blessed blogger will win the entire Sept. Bread Basket Bundle! Now... on to my card. I used Keep Climbing to create this side step card. I stamped the image four times, masking one on the front panel so I could continue the image across the entire panel. I colored the scene with Copics and the sky with my SU! Pastel Chalks, simply sponging on various colors until I had achieved the look I wanted. I cut out the panels and adhered to my layers, giving the sense of many rows of mountains. Once assembled, I spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist which helps set the chalk, and gives a nice glimmer to the scene too. For my sentiment panel I matted it with another piece of card stock and colored it the same way for a little extra pop, then matted that with my white card stock. To emboss my sentiment panel, since it did not fit any of my rectangular Spellbinders just right, I cut the panels and then hand embossed the border with a larger Spellbinders tall rectangle, and my embossing stylus on a soft embossing pad. My only embellishments are some little pearls and a bow made with Martha Stewart ribbon. Here is the set I used: Now I will send you on your way to the next stop.... Becca's Beautiful Blog! Enjoy, and thanks for stopping by!

Carolyn and I met Phipps Festus Bourne in 1995 in his shop in Mabry Hill, Virginia. Bourne, who died in 2002, was a master wood carver whose carvings are almost exact replicas of real objects. “Carving a duck is simple,” he said. “You just look at a piece of wood, get in your head what a duck looks like, and then cut off everything that doesn’t look like it.” So it is with God. He looks at you and me—blocks of rough wood—envisions the Christlike woman or man hidden beneath the bark, knots, and twigs and then begins to carve away everything that does not fit that image. We would be amazed if we could see how beautiful we are as finished “ducks.” But first we must accept that we are a block of wood and allow the Artist to cut, shape, and sand us where He will. This means viewing our circumstances—pleasant or unpleasant—as God’s tools that shape us. He forms us, one part at a time, into the beautiful creature He envisioned in our ungainly lump of wood. Sometimes the process is wonderful; sometimes it is painful. But in the end, all of God’s tools conform us “to the image of his Son” (Rom. 8:29). Do you long for that likeness? Put yourself in the Master Carver’s hands.

When a person without a long history of paying his or her bills on time wants to obtain a loan to purchase a home or car, lenders are often reluctant to take the financial risk. Without a track record, that person’s promise to repay what he borrows is insufficient for the bank. The would-be borrower usually resorts to finding someone who does have a history of making good on their debts, asking them to put their name on the loan too. The co-signer’s promise assures the lender the loan will be repaid. When someone makes a promise to us—whether for financial, marital, or other reasons—we expect them to keep it. We want to know that God will keep His promises too. When He promised Abraham that He would bless him and give him “many descendants” (Hebrews 6:14; see Genesis 22:17), Abraham took God at His word. As the Creator of all that exists, there is no one greater than He; only God could guarantee His own promise. Abraham had to wait for the birth of his son (and never saw how innumerable his offspring would grow to be) (v. 15), but God proved faithful to His promise. When He promises to be with us always (Hebrews 13:5), to hold us securely (John 10:29), and to comfort us (2 Corinthians 1:3–4), we, too, can trust Him to be true to His word.
