Det är dags att göra klart en fjärde fender till Kvitungen, min båt. Jag klär in en uppblåst gummifender. Då får man den uppblåsta fenderns studsande fördel och den är vackrare klädd med rep. Jag börjar med att fästa änden så det blir en ring som jag lägger halvslag runt som bilden ovan. Jag fortsätter med halvslag hela vägen runt runt. Jag gör två halvslag i samma ögla när fender blir grövre, och tar hjälp av en splitsnål för art dra igenom repet. Här bara nöter jag på med ett halvslag i varje ögla. Jag har använt 20 meter 6 mm grovt rep. Det blir mycket att dra igenom i början när repet är långt. Nu är det dags att splitsa i drygt 20 meter till och bara nöta på timme in och timme ut. Här är det nya repet som är dags att splitsa i, men jag tar en paus nu.
