I enjoyed creating things and got numerous art awards in school. However, as an adult, I chose a 9-5 path where I didn't love the work, only to enter the rat race I hated. At 33, I was at an all-time low after experiencing a very deep and personal loss. I then decided to turn to art as an outlet for my pain, guilt and anger. Thus, I created the Paint It Black Art Studio to battle life's deepest hardships. Ironically painting beautiful colorful art (and therapy) helped me battle depression and improve my mental wellness. The studio name comes from the song Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones. It's a song about grief, and the despondency one feels during that process. I hope my artwork brings you and your home the happiness it brings me.
