The Hammies short is an old short for a new generation. This short style was popularized in the 1970s in Southern California and for a decade it was the staple of skateboarders, surfers, rollerskaters, camp counselors, Tom Selleck, and many more. In the mid-1980s, shorts got longer and pants got baggier and for the proceeding 3 decades, the shorts were forgotten (a period also known as The Shorts Dark Ages). Fast-forward to 2017: Hammies has revived the once forgotten shorts in all of their primary-colored and wide-waled corduroy glory and once again, all was right with the world. In short, the Hammies short is a homage to a time when shorts were shorter, fuzzier, and more colorful. These are your dad's shorts! 🌱 Stretch corduroy (98% cotton, 2% elastic) 📏 3" inseam 🤸♂️ Elastic waist 💎 Copper snap

Anybody have crafty moms, dads or guardians? My mom was a crafty lady. She had a box of embroidery floss that I would gaze at. It had about 100 colors in spectral order and I would ask to just look at it. I would pick out my favorite color and read the name at the top of the container. Each color had a sku number and I was enamored with their names. Apparently I asked my mom when I was younger if I could have it when she “fades away”. So poetic. She used these to cross stitch. She had all sorts or cross stitch hanging up around the house, my favorite being a sampler in the bathroom near the decorative towels and eucalyptus branches. As she got older her interests turned more into quilting and that’s stuck with her for the years. She ended up giving me that box of embroidery floss when I picked up cross stitch in my early 20’s. I still love that box of thread even though my interests have shifted to beading. I was cleaning out some of my old crafting boxes and I came across a cross stitch magazine of my moms from 1992. I flipped through and found an awesome pattern for “A Sampler with Heart” and it filled my with such warm feelings that I had to make a pair straightaway. These Country Traditions earrings fill me with such joy, and we hope they do the same for you. A classic cross stitch pattern reimagined into earrings, Country Traditions contains glass seed beads woven one bead at a time. Newsprint, mandarin, brick red, flame orange, sea opal, eucalyptus, agate blue, cobalt, and dark orchid seed beads make up these long gorgeous earrings in a stunning floral and criss cross design. They long option hang at 6.25 inches long and the shorter version is just a tiny bit over 3inches long. Both are just a touch wider than .5 inches. They are hung from a sterling silver ear wire.
