We all have grandparents old photographs that because of the age are not in the best preservation conditions. So many of our old photos may have tears and scratches, spots, damaged areas and so on. Not to say that are all in black and white or sepia color tones. So to repair a damaged photo will not going to be an easy task. You will have to pay attention to every little details to obtain a realistic effect. Mas você sabe a história por trás dessa que se tornou uma das imagens mais icônicas do século 20? A cena foi registrada por Alfred Eisenstaedt e batizada oficialmente de “V-Day in Times Square” — Dia da Vitória na Times Square, em tradução livre. Entretanto, apesar de a foto hoje ser reconhecida como uma das imagens mais românticas da História, ela aconteceu em uma situação nada apaixonada! Agarrão histórico “O Beijo” foi clicado quando multidões começaram a tomar as ruas de Nova York para celebrar a notícia de que o fim da guerra havia sido declarado. Segundo Eisenstaedt, as pessoas vinham de bares, cafés, restaurantes, cinemas etc. e, entre elas estavam Greta Zimmer Friedman e George Mendonsa, dois completos desconhecidos. "O Beijo" Greta era uma enfermeira de 21 anos que trabalhava como assistente de uma clínica dental em Manhattan, e George, um jovem marinheiro que, na verdade, estava em um encontro com uma moça chamada Rita Petry — que anos mais tarde se tornou sua esposa! Pois George viu Greta caminhando na rua, a tomou nos braços e plantou o famoso beijo em seus lábios — isso enquanto Rita assistia a tudo sorrindo. Essa moça risonha ao fundo era Rita Petry! Na verdade, mais do que um beijo, a coisa toda não passou de um “selinho” rápido, e, em vez de representar um momento romântico, ele marcou a exaltação e o alívio pelo fim do conflito. A foto foi publicada pela primeira vez na revista Time — e nem foi na capa! Infelizmente, Greta faleceu no dia 8 de setembro de 2016, aos 92 anos por conta de complicações relacionadas à idade avançada.
