This is a fine art print of my original oil painting, "Transform". Inspiration: "In order for a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out, and everything changes. To someone who does not understand growth, it would look like total destruction." - Cynthia Occelli The flower I chose to incorporate into this painting is called "Lily of the Valley", or also know as "Lady's Tears". It is famous for its sweet smell, but also lethal poison. I wanted this flower to be a metaphor for things in life often being misleading. Pain can feel destructive, but what if it those pains are signs of internal transformations taking place? PLEASE READ: Prints 8.5" x 11" have an even 1/4" white border around all edges. Prints this size with be placed in a plastic sleeve, and mailed the print in a sturdy, cardboard mailer for safe delivery. A curious oil painting by artist Erik Thor Sandberg. In the “personal interests” section on his Facebook page, Quantico, Virginia-based artist Erik Thor Sandberg includes the following “things”: dead things; naked things; vintage things; antique things; disturbingly cute things, and acutely disturbing things. All of which rather accurately describe Sandberg’s art, which borders on the genre of Magic Realism. The term was first used by art historian and photographer Franz Roh to identify artists operating within that realm following the Post-Expressionism period, a term used to describe artistic movements that occurred following WWI, which was also coined by Roh. If this is at all confusing to you, that’s okay. Let’s just say that the calling card of an artist associated with Magic Realism includes the incorporation of realistic images and scenarios into fantasy-based situations. Which is exactly what Sandberg excels at—creating beautifully weird and deeply disturbing paintings of people in peril or impossibly bizarre, often erotic-themed situations. Sandberg’s nudes are uncompromising and at times preposterously proportioned. Perhaps they are missing a limb or trapped in an impossible-looking contraption or circumstance. His work also possesses distinct dream-like qualities—or perhaps more accurately a nightmare that...

The Death of Sappho earrings, present on top side some detail of the impressive oil painting by Miguel Carbonell Selva. The earrings are completely handmade without any industrial process, the details we choose from the painting are the most emblematic. These lightweight earrings represent a story of Greek mythological sapphic art. "Sappho was a prolific poet, Sappho's poetry is still considered extraordinary and her works continue to influence other writers. Beyond her poetry, she is well known as a symbol of love and desire between women, with the English words sapphic and lesbian being derived from her own name and the name of her home island respectively". The back side of the earrings are hand paint with black colour. they are not afraid of humidity or a few drops of rain, but being made of wood it is advisable not to wear them when taking a shower or bath in the sea or in the pool. Furthermore, to preserve the brilliance of the hook, we recommend storing them in a container after use.

I've been painting since I was little. I loved bringing to life all the stories and fantastic characters that were living in my head. Later, art helped me to get through many dark days that came along. My colors and brushes became my therapist, my canvases, my friend, and everything I was feeling was illustrated with their help. Since becoming a mother I've circled back to my childhood fantasy painting. It connects me to my inner child and brings back that magical time of innocence.

At first we assumed she was the only one, the young woman with a thick smear of blood on her lips. We assumed that we’d found this one young woman, feral, maybe, but alone, definitely alone on this barren strip of rock and crevasse in the middle of the Arctic Sea. We were looking for
