I think I told you last post that I'm enjoying making toys at the moment, well here is another one! It's supposed to be a cat, hope you could tell! Maybe I'll call her Kitty Cat, not too original but whatever...... She is a bit bigger than Eddie Owl, and took a bit longer with the arms and legs, but fun to make! ....whiskers are a bit wonky....but what the hey..... Who can believe all the rain we are having, and all the terrible flooding up north, so sad and terrifying. I hope everyone is safe and dry, with plenty of time to get out of the waters path. Although it looks like some areas were taken completely by surprise, very scary. Mother Nature is certainly showing how wild and extreme she can be. Stay safe all you Queenslanders.
It's very nearly farewell February and hello March. Today felt much more spring like, I think I may have gotten a decent dose of Vitamin D whilst out pootling around this afternoon. It was surprisingly warm in the sunshine. Well I say warm, truth be told it's probably at most 7 degrees but it feels quite considerably milder than recent days. I finally managed to book in a much needed hair appointment too which was nice, I feel human again. So after being pampered a while, I thought I'd take a little wander round the shops, stopping off at my local Barnardo's charity shop for a nosey. I love having a browse in charity shops, you never know what you might find, and if I do spend anything I feel good about it as I know it's going to a good cause. I also picked up a bunch of mixed Chrysanthemums. It was the lovely vibrant green that drew me to them, so I just had to take some home with me. I thought you might like a peek at what's currently on my hook. I decided to pick out all the pastels in my Catania Cotton collection to crochet up some mini squares. I'm pretty certain (at this point) that they'll become a cushion cover. The inspiration came from the Pin Stripes pattern (37) page 52 in the Jan Eaton book 200 Crochet blocks. Referring only to the first 4 rounds, as I wanted to achieve a small solid square. I'm pretty pleased with how they've turned out so far. One last thing, don't forget it's Mothering Sunday on the 10th March this year. Earlier than usual, so thought I'd give you a heads up. I mentioned it to my hairdresser today and she didn't have a clue it was so soon, so was grateful that I reminded her. It happens to be my Mum's birthday on the same day, so I guess it's only right she's doubly spoilt. x x x x x x x x x

Bekijk onze pakketten hier. We gaan zes hoeken maken. Haaknaald 6 mm Kleur A: Only Cotton bruin Kleur B: Nizza blauw Kleur C: Allegro bruin blauw (hiervan 2 bollen) Kleur D: Only Cotton zand Kleur E: Nizza taupe gemeleerd Kleur F: Nizza zand Kleur G: Allegro paars, turkoois, groen Kleur H: Only Cotton blauw Kleur J: Nizza roze Kleur K: Only Cotton lichtblauw Hexagon 1: 4 toeren kleur A, 3 toeren kleur B, 2 toeren Kleur C, 2 toeren kleur D, 2 toeren kleur E, 1 toer kleur F, 1 toer kleur G, 1 toer kleur H, 1 toer kleur J en 1 toer kleur C. Hexagon 2: 4 toeren kleur H, 3 toeren kleur J, 2 toeren Kleur G, 2 toeren kleur K, 2 toeren kleur E, 1 toer kleur F, 1 toer kleur G, 1 toer kleur C, 1 toer kleur A en 1 toer kleur C. Sluit de hexagons zoals hierboven beschreven en naai het rugpand aan elkaar. Rij 1 granny's en vasten: kleur K Rij 2 granny's en vasten: kleur G Kreefstensteek met kleur J. Materiaal en kleurvolgorde economic versie 8 kleuren cosy fine, elk 1 bol behalve kleur Peach 2 bollen Haaklnaald 5.5 mm Kleur A: Light purple Kleur B: Ivory Kleur C: Light pink Kleur D: Silver Grey Kleur E: Peach (2 bollen) Kleur F: Warm taupe Kleur G: Baby blue Kleur H: Mint Kleurvolgorde hexagon - haak er 2: 2 toeren kleur A, 1 toer kleur B, 3 toeren kleur C, 2 toeren kleur D, 2 toeren kleur E, 1 toer kleur F, 1 toer kleur G, 1 toer kleur B, 1 toer kleur H, 1 toer kleur A, 1 toer kleur E.
