🎃 🧟♀️👻🕸️🕷️🧛⚰️ Halloween is our favorite holiday so I love documenting all of our spooktactular traditions in a 4x4 pocket page mini album. Today I want to share all about my October 2018 Mini Album! I have been making these "October Occasionally" (not daily, but every once in awhile ;) albums since 2012 and you can find the previous flip throughs here: 2013 // 2014 // 2015 // 2016 // 2017. Love seeing them all lined up. Check out the flip through of this album: I stocked up on 4x4 mini albums about four years ago from companies like Studio Calico, We R Memory Keepers, and Project Life. They are hard to come by now. I recently purchased the only 4x4 style currently available at scrapbook.com. Stock up while you can! I get all of my charms and tassels from Emily Inspired Designs. They are darling and make the perfect finishing touch on all my books! As far as the collections I used... well, I used a bit of everything! I have been hoarding Halloween collections since I first started making these albums and add a bit more every year. I'm a fan of the Halloween collections from Crate Paper, Pink Paislee, American Crafts, Simple Stories, and Carta Bella, and have found things this year from Michaels, the Target dollar spot, and Tuesday Morning. All of my photos are either 4x4 or 2x2" and I have a process video showing how I get them at this size which you can find by clicking HERE. I use a combination of Picasa and Photoshop and print them at Costco. I worked on one page at a time, using whatever my heart desired and I thought fit with the pictures. On the hole punched side of every page protector I added strips of washi tape for a fun pop of color and interest. If you see a tag poking out from the top, it's an interactive element and can be pulled out to reveal hidden journaling. I always love creating sequin pockets and keep them in place by machine stitching across the tops of the pockets. Many pages include ribbon tabs stapled in place to help make turning the pages a bit easier and more fun. I found all of these ribbons this year at Michaels. I also like to add machine stitching here and there for texture and a homespun look. A lot of the journaling and captions were typed on my Typecast Typewriter and trimmed into strips. I included a few of my Halloween-themed cut files throughout the album as fun inserts. Tags are also a fun place to write journaling and insert between the pages for an eclectic vibe. Here are the rest of the spreads: I hope this inspires you to document your annual Halloween traditions in an album! My kids enjoy looking through these books more than anything else I create. Brings back so many fond memories! Let me know if you have any questions, thanks for stopping by! 🎃 🧟♀️👻🕸️🕷️🧛⚰️
