The Fish Quay, North Shields. Fine quality limited edition A4 and A3 sized prints taken from my original acrylic painting on canvas. Print run limited to 250 in each size. Paint was applied with palette knives and staccato brush strokes to give an impressionist style and capture the sense of the many busy boats down at the quay. All prints are produced with superior quality Archival ink applied to high grade matte finish Hahnemuehle paper. They include a record of the print edition and come personally signed by me! Prints can be purchased in A4/A3 sizes with or without frames - three frame styles are available; plain white, ‘antique white’ (has a slightly distressed appearance) or blue-grey. Those prints without frames are made to standard sizes, with a border, allowing an ideal fit to most ready made frames. My photographs take in the Landscapes and Landmarks of the North East. Based in North Shields working as a teacher I spend much of my spare time photographing, editing and creating my work Fiddler's Green sits overlooking the River Tyne on North Shields Fish Quay and is a memorial to North Shields fishermen lost at sea. This picture picks out the features of this haunting piece of sculpture, taken at night time, the contrasting shades and features of the illuminated figure brings home the thought of waiting on the quay for the fisherman's return.

The Fish Quay at North Shields dates all the way back to the 13th century and is still a working harbour today.
