The Noah's Ark Cut & Carry has been updated! I am creating projects for the 3 year old class on Wednesday nights this quarter, and I thought I would share what we did. Noah is divided into 2 lessons. This cut and carry ark is really cute! They love anything they can carry like this. There are a couple of ways to use it. Cut the front and back out around the outside and cut out the center for the handle (optional). Fold back the tab at the bottom of the front and glue to the inside of the back piece. The ark can open like a file folder. Print the animals onto paper if you are gluing them inside the ark, or cardstock if you are going to reuse them. The kids can march the animals right into the ark! They can glue them inside. Or, you can add an envelope or pocket inside to store them. I had Noah and his wife stickers I let them add to their ark also. You could also cut out 3 sides of the door and fold it and cut out the window you'd like for more playing fun. Another choice is to glue the sides of the inside to create a pocket. There is a page of blank cards if you prefer to use stickers. I purchased the roll stickers here and they have sheets and other choices available. Click here to download the updated Cut & Carry Ark. I also decided to try something I do at home with the kids. They love these Dot Markers (which I purchased at Michaels with 50% off) and there are several lessons I could use them with. And, they last a long time! (I just purchased 2 sets for them to share. You do not need a set for each student.) You could also use paint, crayons, or the dot stickers that are used for garage sales, etc. This isn't limited to just the dot markers. I printed our rainbows on blue cardstock, but I usually print on regular paper and it works great. They glued the cotton on the clouds first so they wouldn't get the marker on their arms. The markers do dry quickly though. We just sang a couple of songs and they were ready to go home! Click here to download the Dot Marker Rainbow Paper. We sang this song for each lesson. The kids love this! I have enough rainbows for each of them to hold and wave. They are learning colors also! Click here to see it. They love this song too! I hand them a couple of animals to hold and when it is their turn, I point to them and they hold their animal up for everyone to see and sing about. Click here to see this song.
