In the run-up to the new year, so many of us have 2015 resolutions on our mind—especially when thinking about love, life, health, and career. Especially career. Question: If you could take one of your greatest passions and make it your full-time job—one with which you could support yourself and your family—what would it be? Vivienne Gucwa grew up in Queens, N.Y., and after years and years of working odd jobs to support herself, found her passion in cityscape photography. Today she's one of nine anointed Sony Artisans of Imagery and just published her first book, NY Through The Lens, an ode to the city in which she grew up. I wanted to tell you Vivienne's story because, full disclosure, we knew each other as children—Vivienne and I grew up in the same neighborhood and were friends when we were 11 or 12 but lost touch after middle school—and she and her family have an amazing story.
