This was by far the hardest round for picking the #fringeandfriendsknitalong WIP of the Week. I can’t even tell you how much time I spent going through the Ravelry images and the Instagram hashtag — scrolling back and forth and forth and back and back and forth. Again, if I had three or four prizes […]
Once you’ve worked out the specifics of where and by which method to knit the holes into a buttonhole band, it seems like an easy enough proposition to sew the buttons onto the button band in corresponding positions. And that’s not hard: Most people will line up the two bands, put a pin (or removable […]
The first photo I ever saw of these exquisite little Bento Bags — cleverly designed for carrying produce — was of apples spilling out of the natural linen one (the only fabric available at that time), and my mind’s eye instantly replaced the apples with yarn balls. I ordered two on the spot and they’ve […]

This pattern was originally designed and sold by @fringesupplyco and is perfect for all of your sewing, knitting, drawing and crafting projects, and maybe for your lunch as well. This would make a great gift for so many people on your list. ❤️🐿
In 2014 and 2015, I created five limited-edition project bags for Fringe Supply Co. It was a fun, year-long collaboration, and Karen (Fringe’s owner) and I tried to figure out other ways to work together. Then, along came Fringe’s incredibly popular Field Bags. We decided that I would print the blank, cut canvas for the […]

Between the launch of the toffee-colored Field Bag and all of the prep and labor for Stitches South, there hasn’t been a lot of time for blogging this week (and no time at all for knitting!). And last night through Sunday night, DG and I are holed up at Opryland Convention Center in our sweet little booth. […]

Out of print sewing patterns If you are searching for a sewing pattern and have arrived at this page on The Fold Line, it is likely the sewing pattern you are looking for is no longer in print. Dressmaking patterns go out of print for lots of reasons. This includes the pattern not being printed […]

When it comes to knitters we love our notions, tools and accessories! One of my favourite places to indulge in new pretties is from Fringe Supply Co. - one of our Summer Sweater Knit Along sponsors this year! I will openly admit I have a weakness for notebooks, journals and project bags. I can't get enough! Pair those with some fab stitch markers & holders, great scissors, and a new print for my office and you've got one happy knitter over here! The one place I love to indulge and treat myself is at Fringe Supply Co.
Week 48: Two-color screenprint on cotton. This bag – my third quarterly collaboration with Fringe Supply Co. – will be available for purchase on Fringe’s site soon! Back to West Coast Craft prep. Will I see you there this weekend?
Først og fremmest vil jeg lige nævne, at dette indlæg ikke er sponseret. Det er simpelthen udelukkende et indlæg om min helt perfekte projektpose. Min projektpose fra Fringe Supply Co. ❤️ Projektposen
First, before I forget, I’m at Stitches West today! If you’re there too, send me an email (karen at karentempler) and maybe we can meet up. Or just look for me in the market hall — I’ll wear my purple State Street Cowl. I’ll probably be Instagramming a little bit, and may have a recap […]
Have you ever heard of Christmas at Sea? When DG and I were manning our Fringe Supply Co. booth at Stitches South last spring — back when the Fringe Hatalong Series was brand new — I kept seeing him chatting up these two really cool women who had a nearby booth. Their sign said “Seamen’s […]
This whole Fringe Hatalong Series idea was a good one, I can already tell. I finished my lovely Audrey hat — my third FO for the year — and feel confident it would not have happened had I not invited you all to knit along with me. I would have gotten sucked into the next […]
Today’s the day! The fifth Jen Hewett x Fringe Field Bag is finally here — and this one is sticking around! As you likely know: Since 2016, we’ve done 4 special-edition Field Bags with printmaker Jen Hewett, which were limited in number due to the fact that Jen was handprinting each one herself — so they sold out […]
Originally designed and sold by Fringe Supply Co., the Town bag is a great everyday purse and/or a do-it-all project bag, no matter what your project may be. It has the same drawstring closure and interior pockets – designed for corralling tools, patterns, and miscellany – as the Field bag (minus the grommets), but with the addition tote-style handles and external front and back pockets. Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, working with heavy fabrics, and setting rivets (optional). Suggested Fabrics: 8-10oz cotton canvas Notions: 1 ½ yds (1.4m) of 1 ¼" (3.27mm) wide cotton 2 ½ yds (2.3m) – 5/32" circumference 100% cotton braided cording 8 – 6mm, 6.4mm post double cap rivets (optional) 3/32" Round Punch (optional) 6mm Rivet Setter with base (optional) Mallet (optional) Denim Machine Needle Thread Hera Marker or other removable marking tool

TGIF, y’all. Here’s a juicy bit of Elsewhere for you— Let’s start with the cutest earworm ever (thx, Anna — I’ve been singing this for how many days now?) I’m happy to have discovered the seeming treasure trove (aka time suck) at tedresearch.net as well as the Apiece Apart Woman series, which I heard of […]
Remember that bag I sewed in May and couldn’t tell you about? And then the ones that showed up in my Gallery Dress post, which I also couldn’t tell you about? Well, I can finally tell you: Today marks the debut of Fringe’s very first sewing pattern — the Stowe Bag, in collaboration with Grainline […]

I am a self-confessed Instagram addict, using it mainly for knitting inspiration. I can spend ages scrolling down as beautiful picture after beautiful picture loads itself onto my screen. Although knitwear designers make up a big chunk of who I follow, I also follow outdoor photographers, travel and lifestyle bloggers, foodies, creative designers, do-it-yourselfers, fly fishermen, and anyone else that happens to catch my fancy. I’ve published a previous post [http://www.woolyventures.com/top-10
Remember Week 13’s print? I’d mentioned that a friend told me the bag reminded her of knitting project bags. Karen from Fringe Supply Co. agreed, and asked me if I’d make a few for her shop. So I did – and the bags are now available exclusively in sold out (!) in Fringe’s shop. I’ll […]
You guys, this is a thrilling day for me. I had this funny idea for a poster exactly a year ago, when I was working on what was then to be the Fringe holiday web pop-up, now known as Fringe Supply Co. It was such a simple idea but it made me laugh: the Yarn […]
