Disclaimer: Products featured were provided for review. Hello everyone, happy Thursday! Today I have swatches and reviews of three gorgeous shades from OPI's new Spring and Summer Brazil Collection. The collection was released earlier last month and features 12 shades of neutral and bright polishes (mostly creams) perfect for the upcoming warm and sunny weather. To read more, click....... I Just Can't Cope-acabana: "Nothing lifts your spirits like this sunshine yellow." I personally love love love yellow polishes but rarely wear them because it's hard to find one with a good formula; they all tend to be very sheer and patchy. The formulation of Can't Cope-acabana is not perfect but it is substantially better than most yellow cream I have tried. For my swatches I used three coats to obtain opacity. The polish wasn't too patchy and in fact was pretty self-leveling. Cope-acabana looks a lot paler in the bottle but when worn on the nails it comes off as a lovely daisy yellow. Three coats, no top coat. Three coats, no top coat. AmazON...AmazOFF: "I'm making the switch to this deep jungle green." My favorite of the three, AmazON....AmazOFF not only has a hilarious name but it's also an uber gorgeous shade of dark teal. The formula, as you might expect, was AmazING (did that joke work there, haha). For my swatches I used two coats and the finish was opaque but also had a squishy jelly feel to it! The only thing I want to caution about this particular shade is that make sure to wear a good base coat because a color like this will leave a stain on your nails. I swatched this guy for no more than 15 minutes and it left a blue tinge on my nails. Though thankfully that was removed with an old toothbrush and some whitening toothpaste. Two coats, no top coat. Two coats, no top coat. OPI Scores a Goal: "Make your point in this winning shade of rich chocolate." Last up, OPI Scores a Goal is a gorgeous rich brown with almost a plummy/red undertone. The formulation of this was also very wonderful, two coats for opacity and the polish is self leveling and smooth. This isn't a color I normally gravitate towards but it actually looks really nice when worn, very sophisticated and classy. Two coats, no top coat. Two coats, no top coat. The drying time of all three polishes (even the three coater Cope-acabana) was very good and they all had a very good shine without the help of any top coat. My recommendation out of the three is definitely AmazON...AmazOFF, and if you are into yellows, Cope-acabana is definitely worth checking out! Did you pick up any shades from the OPI Brazil line? Do you plan to? Let me know in the comments below!

Disclaimer: Products featured were provided for review. Starting June 2014, L'Oréal is bringing its beloved Collection Privée back in stores. Now named the Exclusive Nudes, the line features six shades of nude lipsticks and six shades of nude polishes ($6.99 each), all inspired and named after iconic celebrities. Today I have four polishes from the collection to share with y'all, so to see some swatches and my review, click...... L'Oreal Exclusive Nude Polishes in Liya, Doutzen, Julianne, and Eva. Liya's Nude (from Liya Kebede): This one is a rich taupe-y gray cream with a very opaque formulation. Although the formulation is opaque, I still had some trouble with streaking and had to use three coats on a couple of fingers. This color isn't a conventional "nude" but it is still very classy and neutral, perfect for gals with darker skin. Two to three coats, no top coat, Two to three coats, no top coat. Eva's Nude (from Eva Longoria): This polish is a very light sandy beige with subtle shimmers. The formulation was a bit sheer so I had to use three coats. The color, though, is quite a match for my skin tone (in person at least, not so much in the swatches). Can I re-name this Jasmine's Nude? Three coats, no top coat. Three coats, no top coat. Julianne's Nude (from Julianne Moore): A soft, dusty brick red, Julianne's nude is another very unique take on the nude polish. The formulation for this one is very opaque and smooth, two coats for complete opacity. Two coats with no top coat. Two coats with no top coat, Doutzen's Nude (from Doutzen Kroes): This one is a soft mauve-y nude cream with a surprisingly opaque formulation. Two even coats are enough to achieve opacity and the color dried very quickly. Two coats with no top coat. Two coats with no top coat. The collection includes two additional polishes, inspired by J Lo and Freida Pinto. Overall, I am quite impressed by the formulation of all four polishes I swatched. Nudes tend to be very sheer and require up to four coats for opacity. Most of these only required two and the finishes were nice and shiny. Availability: The L'Oreal Exclusive Nudes Collection are in stores as of June 2014. So which one is your favorite nude? Let me know in the comments below!

[Werbung] Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Essie Bootleg is a medium mauve pink, or a dusty pale rose creme on the nails, it applies opaque with 2 coats. Here's the bottle comparison to other Essie mid tones or pale shades, #543 My Private Cabana (detailed review here http://blushed-wombat.blogspot.com/search/label/Essie ) and #383 Innocent. Bootleg is clearly more pink once compared to Innocent, which is a bit more beige nude based. While my private cabana just looks like a usual french pink creme in comparison (it's more jelly like and not as opaque). Essie Innocent is a pink pearly nude. Again I'm wearing 2 coats on all colosr below: Overall I like all 3 shades for soft pinks or mid-tones with a slight twist. Probably like Innocent the best because it's suits me more as a french nude. They are all pretty office friendly colors. Consistency and wear is the same between all 3.
I waited a long, long time for this...

I’ve been on a natural nude-pink nail polish kick ever since Tom Ford Sugar Dune was released for spring. I’ve since been wearing a lot of light and neutral pinks on the nails. For me light pink is a bit difficult to find, most are either too pale, too sheer or apply unevenly. I’ve still managed to find quite a few variations of light and nude pink with great formulas, application and wear. The colors that made my top picks: Turn on your JavaScript to view content Rescue Beauty Lounge Thank You ($20) is a nude pink with light pearl particles. It flashes blue and pink for a cool-toned sheen but has a nude pink base to prevent it from looking too pale. This color looks good on everyone I’ve seen it on. It’s shown below with two coats. Tom Ford Sugar Dune ($32) is my ultimate perfect nude pink. As discussed in my review a few months ago, application can be a bit time consuming, it is one of the higher maintenance nudes but once applied is a clean polished neutral light pink. It is limited-edition so if you’re interested I suggest you try to track one down sooner […]
I'm not really sure what made me spontaneously buy the Peter Som collection from Zoya during NYFW (probably the fact that it was LE and had free shipping), but I'm glad I did! Zoya - Audrey Audrey is a pale, sheer pink jelly that has a nice glossy finish. This was the one I was most excited about because of its "revolutionary magical gel look." And the finish IS very nice, but the color is a bit uneven on its own. Not really streaky, but just more sheer in some spots and more opaque in others. Very light and feminine, and I like how it looks with three coats (shown). Zoya - Katharine My favorite of the collection. Katharine is a subdued plum/raisin jelly (it looks more eggplant in the bottle though) that is quite sheer on the first two coats, but builds up into a nice squishy jelly finish. For this swatch I used three thin coats, but I think it looked a little better the night before when I tried it with slightly thicker coats. Either way, it looks more even in person than in the pictures. I love that this is a more dusty/greyed shade of red purple. So chic and juicy. Zoya - Evvie Evvie is a very opaque dark sage grey creme. The only creme in the collection, it is completely opaque in two easy, thin coats. Again, very chic with a little bit of edge. Zoya really hits it home with their greens and this is no exception. I think it is also neutral enough to complement a variety of skin tones from cool to warm. Simple, but quite flattering. Overall I'm quite impressed with this whole set. All of the shades are nice, and Audrey is so unique! Unfortunately, the set was limited edition for NYFW and is currently sold out, but I've heard rumors of these colors making it into the Zoya core line this fall or so.

This was an unexpected love for me. I'm not usually the sheer/pink/nude type, but something drew me in: these are beautiful, elegant JELLIES! I've been crazy about the glitter/jelly sandwiches lately, and I have a feeling these would be perfect for them! OPI - My Pointe Exactly This is my favorite. My Pointe Exactly is a light grey jelly that is semi-opaque at three coats (shown). Even with a bit of VNL, I still loved the look of this. Elegant and edgy at the same time! OPI - Don't Touch My Tutu! Don't Touch My Tutu is a nice clean white jelly. Along the same lines as Essie Marshmallow but a little bit more sheer, I think it would work even better for the glitter sandwiches. I love the way white jellies make glitter look like sprinkles on a cupcake. OPI - Care to Danse Care to Danse is a light purple jelly. The bottle looks more purple than it appears on the nail. I'm not sure, but this may be my second favorite. OPI - Barre My Soul Barre My Soul is a very nice peachy beige jelly. This would be a lovely base for a French manicure! OPI - You Callin' Me a Lyre? You Callin' Me a Lyre is a a peachy pink jelly that's more saturated than the others in this collection. Again, it'd be a great base for a French manicure base. I think of the collection this was the most opaque at three coats. OPI - Pirouette my Whistle (over each of the colors above) Pirouette My Whistle is a clear base with silver micro glitter and large white/silvery pearl hex glitters. Most pictures of this at one coat didn't have too many white hexes, but my bottle seemed to be packed with them. I had to actually TRY not to get too many because I wanted a sparse look. Either way, it's quite elegant for a glitter. I think I like this even better than Nubar White Polka Dot. All of these applied very nicely and easily in three coats, although it seems easiest to avoid streaks by using medium-thick coats. I suggest waiting a few minutes between each coat to prevent bubbling as well. They do kind of self-level though, which is a plus. OPI is available at Ulta stores as well as in JC Penney Salons. I prefer JC Penney because if you buy two or more, they're only $6 each instead of $8.50 at Ulta.
