Ahhh, summer! Is there any better time of the year? Spring allergies have settled, mosquitos are aplenty, the nights are short, and the days are fragrant with meadows and wildflowers. Truly, the most wonderful time to spend all your time outdoors. Unless, that is, you live in Furnace Creek; then summer might be a curse word for you. However, we believe that the majority of people can soak in the sun without shriveling to a dehydrated lump of hide, and if you’re looking for some summer activity ideas to make the most of this gorgeous season, this is our list dedicated to exactly that.

Cross stitch is a form of counted thread embroidery that has been around for ages, and it is widely regarded as one of the easiest forms of hand embroidery, making it an accessible hobby for virtually everyone.
I've had this pattern rattling around in my head for months, but have been crazy busy with other things. I finally sat down tonight and pounded it out, and added a custom border I created. This pattern may look plain in the pictures, but if you use the recommended threads that I list, the text will have a red ombre effect with the use of Threadworx Cotton Floss in Red Lipstick. I was also playing around with this with the text being Bradley's Balloons by the same company. Have fun with it! This pattern ends up being 10.39 by 8.33 inches when completed with no unstitched border, but I would recommend leaving 2 inches around it for framing, so you will want 12.39 by 10.33 inches of aida to start with. This is for size 18 Aida fabric, and will obviously be bigger if you use size 16, or smaller if you go to size 24. All thread colors are listed, with the rose border being done in DMC Floss. I hope you love it as much as I do. What's Included: * Color printed pattern on stitch and stitch paper * A copy of the original design on a regular paper for reference Instructions: Stretch fabric tight on a embroidery frame Peal the back from the pattern and stick it on the fabric Proceed with embroidery over the design After all the stitches are done, hand wash to dissolve the fabric Additional Tips: * If necessary, depending on the fabric pre-wash fabric before stick and stitching to prevent any shrinkage. * Stick and stitch stickers have a medium stickiness. Hence please give it a good rub onto your fabric against a hard surface. You will find this to be true of all stick & stitch stickers regardless of the brand or suppliers. * I have notices warm water works best at dissolving stabilizer * If your needle gets little sticky from time to time, it's best to clean it off with some rubbing alcohol and let it dry before stitching * Happy stitching!! Please feel free to make finished embroidery as gifts for friends or family. Great for making custom greeting cards too with a layer of embroidered fabric on the card. Embroidery has been around forever — the earliest surviving pieces of this craft are Scythian, dated to between the 5th and 3rd centuries BCE. Virtually every culture has some form of it in their textile art history.

Safo. Cross stitch pattern. Counted cross stitch patter. Cross stitch supply. Hand embroidery pattern. PDF cross stitch. Cross stitch chart. Safo by Miquel Carbonell i Selva in PDF format. All my patterns are created using a combination of computer and hand correction and are designed in the ‘’ pointillist ‘’ style of art which is a technique of painting in which small distinct points of primary colors create the impression of an intermediate color. So, when you look at the embroidered piece from a few feet away all colors mixed together and it looks very realistic. The first photo is the original work of the artist and the second is the embroidered result, according to the pattern. The thread foto is from Mrs. Deb, which embroidered this pattern and she has the kindness enough to send me a foto. With your purchase you will receive with electronic delivery to your email box, 1. A PDF with picture that shows how it looks the finished piece. 2. A PDF with instructions and symbol key. 3. A PDF pattern with black and white symbols. 4. A PDF with thread lengths. Stitches: 275 x 400. Size, with 14 count Aida fabric: 19.64 x 28.57 inches, 49.89 x 72.57 cm. If you buy 2 patterns, please send me with a note or email, the title of the third pattern that you want for free. If you have any question or want different dimensions of the pattern or greater printing size please contact me. I will gladly accept your comments and feedback. Happy stitching And THANK YOU for your visit to my shop.
