Reclaimed wooden flower with pine center The wood that makes up this flower came from a lake cottage that was demolished for a new lake home. The cottage stood for almost 100 years. These petals are a way of preserving its history. Handcrafted wooden flower with 12 individually cut and sanded pine petals. The petals used to be part of the interior siding of the knotty pine cabin. Diameter is approximately 11". Thickness with fronts and backs is 2 inches with petals 3/4" in thickness. Petals are burned and then coated in polyurethane for a glossy finish that will show the beautiful natural character of the knotty pine. Wood center will have some wormholes, which is something that cannot be faked or duplicated adding the the uniqueness of this flower. Petals will show saw marks from being ripped to thickness for added depth and character. Each petal is individually cut, sanded and selected for it's uniqueness making each flower I create one of a kind. This flower is a piece of history coming from the woods of Northern Wisconsin, because at the time that this cabin was constructed all wood was sourced locally. **SHIPPING NOTE** each order will come with $50 shipping insurance and a tracking number. Product will ship via the US Post office. I have calculated fixed shipping costs for these flowers based off of shipping to a destination as far away from my location in the US as I could think of. I did this to keep shipping costs as low as possible without losing money for my time and materials to ship. IF I can ship an order for a total of more than $5 of what you get charged I will refund the difference.
