Orchid Oasis with Ranunculus Romance Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. We are starting afresh to work though all the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order, although as we begin a new round, we are featuring the new In Colours for 2022 to 2024. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a deep purple with rich blue undertones called Orchid Oasis. As mentioned, Orchid Oasis is part of the In Colour Family and is a beautifully rich blue purple. This colour is gorgeous on its own or with touches of gold. It is going to be fun over the next 2 years to explore colour combos that go well with this colour. Orchid Oasis is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads, Spots & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Stampin' Blends, In Colours 2022-2024 Designer Series Papers, Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes and Designer Series Paper, In Colour Bakers Twine, Shimmer Ribbon, Glimmer Paper and Matte Decorative Dots. The card below has used Orchid Oasis Classic Stampin' ink, Card-stock, Stampin' Write Marker plus a range of other non-PP bits and pieces. Here is the card showcasing the delightful Orchid Oasis: Isn't Orchid Oasis a beautiful colour. CARD 1: This card shows the beauty of Orchid Oasis through some tone on tone stamping, ink blending and stamping on white, as well as some splatters. I loved playing with Orchid Oasis this week. It is a beautiful colour. My time to create was very short for this project given commitments over the past week so I decided to only use the featured colour and Basic White with touches of Gold. Orchid Oasis card-stock and ink was used with some partial background stamping with the scripty stamp from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set. Some Basic White card-stock was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. Some Orchid Oasis ink was blended over the LHS using a Blending Brush, then the panel was stamped with the Eiffel Tower and script stamps. Some splatters were added using an Orchid Oasis Stampin' Write Marker. The beautiful Ranunculus stamp was stamped a couple of times in Orchid Oasis Classic ink. Sadly, I couldn't find my Ranunculus dies, so I fussy cut the full flower spray and the two larger flower heads from the second stamped image. Having lost time trying to find my dies I had to alter my design quickly and use dies that were easily at hand. Some Gold Foil was die cut with one of the little floral sprays from the Honey Bee Bloom dies and the larger leaf die from the Meadows dies was used on some Basic White card-stock. A little Orchid Oasis ink was blended over the white leaf die cut. The fussy cut flowers and the leaf were partially Gold heat embossed on the edges using Versamark ink, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and a Heat Gun. The larger ticket die from the Sports Events dies cut a label from the Vellum Layering Designs. The leaf and flowers were arranged over the vellum label and the individual flower heads were layered over the flowers with Mini Dimensionals. A double bow was tied with the gold Simply Elegant Trim and attached with Glue Dots. A sentiment from the same stamp set was White Heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Orchid Oasis card-stock and then fussy cut. Some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels added a little shimmer, together with a splattering of Wink of Stella (which is so hard to capture in the photos). My time completely disappeared and so I didn't have a chance to work on the card inner or envelope. It will happen but later. I sincerely thank Emma Goddard, UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and past Artisan for her inspiration. I so love Emma and her amazing talent and noticed as this card came together her definite influence. Thank you so much for dropping by. I do value the time you spent with me. Hello and welcome my friends, My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you the first colour for Colour Creations blog hop and it's Week 1 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. It's been a while since my last Colour Creation and I'm so excited to be back here again. The first colour is Peach Pie which is part of the In Color Collection for 2024 - 2026 Stampin' Up! sure know how to create some beautiful new colors for us to play with and they are here with us for the next two years. Now that's exciting! All of the new In Colors come in a range of Stampin' Up! products such as ink, cardstock, ribbon, designer series paper, embellishments, Stampin' Blends and so on. New colours means new Stampin' Up! products to try out from the new Stampin' Up! 2024 -2025 Annual Catalogue and I'll be showing you the Country Flowers bundle (163411) which is part of the Country Woods Suite Collection and you can find it on pages 48 to 51 in the catalogue. Country Flowers bundle (163411) The Country Flowers bundle includes the Country Flowers stamp set and Country Flowers dies. I've been using this bundle now for a couple of my projects and I love it! The stamp images of bunches of flowers, cute flowerpots and a variety of different sentiments for your card making and paper craft. I stamped the images using Basic Gray ink onto Basic White cardstock and coloured in the images using Stampin' Blends in Peach Pie, Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon. I like to leave white space to create depth when colouring in the images. I also added detailed die-cut images to the background of the coloured in flowers and a couple of fallen leaves to add interest. I wanted to add Peach Pie Glimmer Paper which is from the 2024-26 In Color Glimmer 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (163771) to my card, so I used the scissors die image from the Crafting With You Dies (161225) for some detailed bling! I thought this was lots of fun to my card. To create the sentiment, I actually combined two words together from two different sentiments and stamped them in Basic Gray ink onto Peach Pie paper from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper (163372). I also used this same Peach Pie paper and layered it under the embossed Basic White cardstock. Then I die-cut out using one of the smaller circular dies from the Spotlight on Nature Dies (163580). To finish off the card I created a cute bow using Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon (163783) by pulling away fine strands from the ribbon and tying it into a delicate bow. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. I cannot believe my baby cousin is nearly 1. I swear I only just made her baby card yesterday but that was last year using Sale-A-Bration products. This Year I have used the Stampin' Up! Just Kiddin' & Alphabest Stamp Sets, Mini Alphabet and Stylish Shapes Dies, Sale-A-Bration Sunny Days Designer Series Paper with Rainbow Dots. I did something special with this cute girl image I stamped it onto one of the patterns from the Sunny Days Paper and hand cut the dress out and added shading with Stampin' Blends to the dress image to make it blend in. I added cardstock to the adhesive foam to create the sentiment using the Mini Alphabet Dies. The die cut 1 and rainbow dots finished the card. Hello and welcome my friends, My name is Vicki Boucher and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Today, I'll be sharing with you another colour for Colour Creations blog hop and we are now at week 7 with the Art With Heart Team in Australia. The next colour is Azure Afternoon which is part of the Brights range and it's so pretty. I need to use this colour more often in my projects. It comes in Cardstock, Classic Ink Pad, Ink Refill, Embellishments, Designer Series Paper and more Stampin' Up! products. Today's project I created a blue and white theme card using the Country Flowers bundle (163411) which includes the stamp set and dies. As this week's colour is blue I used the teapot image and stamped it in Night of Navy ink. I colured the teapot in with the Stampin' Blends in the following colours Azure Afternoon, Blueberry Bushell, Balmy Blue, Pecan Pie and the Colour Lifter to blend in the colours together. I also went over the coloured teapot with Watercolour Pencils using Blue, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. I find the pencils give you more control when colouring in and they make the colours seem brighter. I also used the arrangement of flowers for the teapot and coloured them in with the Stampin' Blends in Azure Afternoon and Old Olive. Again, I use the Watercolour Pencils using Blue, Old Olive and Granny Apple Green. The additional flower on the left is from the Country Birdhouse stamp set and die-cut with the coordinating dies. I used the same colours and techniques as above. I wanted to have the teapot sitting on something different and not from the Country Flowers stamp set, so I had a light bulb moment and went with the pile of books stamp which is from the Bird's Eye View stamp set. I used the Stampin' Blends and Watercolour Pencils in similar as the teapot, I also used Crushed Curry and White in the pencils. The sentiment is from Country Flowers Stamp Set and is stamped using Night of Navy ink with each word on each of the books. I wanted to try out one of the templates which is in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and you can find them on page 22 of the catalogue. I do like to challenge myself and my creativity. The teapot is layered over a blended inked up panel using Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon and Pecan Pie inks and applied with the Blending Brush. Then layered over Azure Afternoon cardstock panel. Next, I created three strips of Azure Afternoon Designer Series Paper which is from the Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper cut at 3cm x 14cm. I used the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder and dry embossed the strips. To show through some of the white from the DSP I used a nail file to remove some of the Azure Afternoon from the paper. You can see more embossed detail by doing this technique. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love to hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends June Blog Hop and this month our theme is "Coloring Inside the Lines". Our Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore all the wonderful coloring options Stampin' Up! has to offer. One of my favorite coloring techniques would have to be coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers. I love the way these alcohol markers blend and the beautiful vibrant colors. For this card design, I chose to use the new Spotlight on Nature Bundle, which is one of the bundles on sale this month with an additional 10% discount. I paired it with one of the designs from the Thoughtful Journey 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. I just love the soft, water color background it creates for the card design that combines beautifully with the focal images. Products Used: Spotlight On Nature Bundle (item #163581) Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183) Thoughtful Journey 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #163303) Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081) Basic White Cardstock (item #159276) Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708) Versamark Pad (item #102283) Basics Wow Embossing Powders (item #165679) Boho Blue Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161659) Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154885) Petunia Pop Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #163828) Pretty In Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #163824) Tinsel Gems Three Pack (item #161624) Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon (item #162149) Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430) Measurements: Misty Moonlight Cardstock Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4") Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Labels Dies Basic White Cardstock Large Circle die cut with the Spotlight On Nature Dies Butterfly stamped and fussy cut Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" This pretty card design is all about beautiful colors and I chose to use Boho Blue and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers for the floral image and Pretty In Pink and Petunia Pop Stampin' Blends Markers for the butterfly image. To create the focal image, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to die cut the large detailed circle. I fussy cut the butterfly out after coloring it and added it to the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. For the sentiment label, I heat embossed the image with Basic White embossing powder and die cut the sentiment with the Stylish Shapes Dies. To add a touch of bling, I added several of the Misty Moonlight Gems and I piece of the Silver & White Sheer Ribbon behind the sentiment label. I love how the colors work together to create a beautiful thank you card. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire to create your own wonderful projects using coloring techniques. There are so many amazing options to explore. Night of Navy with Awesome Otters Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the 2021-2022 Art with Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week’s Blog Hop is focussing on a beautiful deep navy blue called Night of Navy. Night of Navy is part of the Neutrals Colour Family and is a delightful versatile blue. I so love this blue which works beautifully with various colours including Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight. Night of Navy is produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Stampin' Blends, Watercolor Pencils, Soft Pastels Assortment and the 2020-2022 Neutrals Designer Series Papers as well as Beauty of the Earth, Sweet Symmetry, Abstract Beauty, In Good Taste Designer Series Papers & the Ombre Speciality Paper, Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack, Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes & the Love, Santa Tag Kit. There is also Night of Navy twine as part of the Fan Bakers Twine, Resin Stars Embellishments, the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels & Blue Adhesive Backed Gems. The range of products available underscores the versatility of this colour. The cards below have used Night of Navy Classic Stampin' ink, Cardstock, Stampin' Blends Combo and a Stampin' Write Marker plus a range of other non-NoN bits and pieces. Here are my cards showcasing Night of Navy: As you can see the cards are same, same, but different. I had a number of ideas of how I would showcase Night of Navy. It is such a versatile colour. I wonder how everyone else are using this fantastic colour. CARD 1: Night of Navy, as a deep blue made me think of water. From there I thought of the new Sale-a-bration stamp set "Awesome Otters". This card is a simple fancy fold, with flaps folding in from either side. I took advantage of this fold by die cutting a circular hole in the front panel to showcase part of the design on the second flap as it peeps through the hole to combine with the little otter and sentiment on the front panel. A piece of Basic White card-stock was dry embossed with the 3D Bark Embossing Folder before layering on the front. The largest circle from the Layering Circles die set was used to cut a central hole. The second panel has a piece of Vellum card-stock that was coloured with Stampin' Blends and Isopropyl Alcohol. The Blends were Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay combo packs, ie Light and Dark in both colours. The Blends were scribbled over the centre of the Vellum. The Isopropyl Alcohol was spritzed over with a Stampin' Spritzer. Then the colour design was formed through blowing. While you could blow through a straw, in our COVID safe world I used a manual bulbous blow tool (not sure what they are called). Once dry, a little more alcohol was spritzed to create a look of bubbles. The otters were stamped in Momento ink on to Basic White card-stock and coloured with Stampin' Blends, ie Soft Suede, Crumb Cake combos, a touch of Light Night of Navy for the eyes and part of the fish and Daffodil Delight & Night of Navy for the fish and the party hats. Of course I also used the Colour Lifter to add more shading & highlights. The otters & hats were all fussy cut. A little Wink of Stella was added to the fish. Some extra white squiggles were added by White heat embossing. The front sentiment was White heat embossed on Night of Navy card-stock, where as the inner sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy Classic ink. Adhesive Backed Sequins add a little shimmer. It is amazing how they adapt to the colours around them. The final touch was some splattering - the card front with Light Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay Blends, where as the 2nd flap's splatters were added with some White Craft ink mixed with a little Wink of Stella and flicked using the medium Water Painter over the inner design and the Night of Navy inside flap. The card inner was splattered with both Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay Dark Stampin' Blends. The navy came out strongly an ended up more dominant than planned. You know how it is - you flick and flick again and can hardly see anything for your efforts and then with a third flick it goes everywhere in solid splotches. Sigh!. A little otter was also stamped in Momento ink. A C6 Basic White envelope was stamped with one of the otters in Momento ink. CARD 2: The second card also has aVellum panel with the same type of Stampin' Blends colouring with Isopropyl Alcohol. This was attached to a piece of Basic White card-stock with Adhesive Sheet. This was much easier that attaching the Vellum with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue as I did with the previous card. The Thick Basic White card front had a Bark 3D Embossed panel of Basic White card-stock adhered. Some White Bakers Twine from the Essentials Bakers Twine pack was wrapped around twice and tied in a bow. Dimensionals were added to the centre panel to pop it up. One of the otters was stamped, coloured and fussy cut in the same way as the first card. It was added with Dimensionals. The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in White on to Night of Navy card-stock and then cut into strips that also were popped up on Mini Dimensionals. A little splattering was added with Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Markers. After my earlier experience I thought I would play it safe with the Markers. A few of the oh so gorgeous Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for a delicate touch of sparkle. The Basic White card inner was decorated with an off-cut of coloured Vellum and an extra coloured otter. A Basic White C6 envelope was also stamped with another otter in Momento. I did enjoy creating these cards to share. Hmm, well, I enjoyed most of the creative process. It was one of those sessions where I regularly muffed up, including adhering the Vellum upside down and as I tried to take it back up and re-adhere - glue went everywhere; mis-stamping on occasion, splattering issues, dropping things, loosing things ... the list could go on. Have you ever had one of those days - or is it just me??? Thank you so much for dropping by. I do value that you spent time with me. If you live in Australia, don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like your own copy of Stampin' Up's 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue and or the new January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue & Saleabration Catalogue then let me know and I will be delighted to send them to you. Who’s a rock fan? ME & my family are! When this set was released from the new catalogue I knew I had to get it. Now it does use some now retired cardstock, but I didn’t know that at the time of making it. So sorry to see Pacific Point go, we definitely have some amazing blue replacements - Blueberry Bushel & Azure Afternoon to name a couple! This stamp set doesn’t have any die cutters but as you’ll see you don’t need cutters for every card. I have used some basic shapes as cut out and stamped within them to highlight this Rhythm set. This fun fold card is called the Split Z Fold How cool is it? It’s easy to make too - always a bonus. You will need x2 A6 (10.5cm x14.9cm) pieces of cardstock along with a long Z folded piece of Basic White cardstock and you’ll SANDWICH them together to make the card. For this card I have used 12” white paper however if you only have A4 that’s ok follow below measurements: • 12” Paper: 9cm x 30.5cm, scored at 9 & 18cm (3-1/2” x12” scored at 3-1/2 & 7”) or • A4 Paper: 9cm x 29.5cm, scored at 7.5 & 16.5cm (3-1/2 x 11-1/2” scored at 3” & 6-1/2”) I love adding colour to images with Stampin’ Up! blends… rich and blood colours that really make your images stand out. A square cut out was the perfect size to stamp x3 Flying V guitars! A super fun card that provides lots of room for writing your message and adding lots of fun images. It’s like it just keeps folding over new spaces A fun and masculine combination - I’ll definitely make this card again in a variety of tones. If you liked today's post please share your favourite pictures to your Pinterest boards! Thanks so much for stopping by and hopefully I have inspired your creativity. Hello friends! I'm sharing a FREE Card Class this first Saturday in June, 6/1/2024. This month I'm sharing the Sweet Peas stamp set from Stampin' Up! I fell in love with this adorable imagery the minute I saw this set and knew I'd want to create a class around it.Sometimes, stamp sets with smaller images can be more difficult to use in design. In this class, I'm going to share a couple of ways to work with smaller images to give them the spotlight they deserve and make your card designs shine!Y

Welcome to a Week 3 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Pretty In Pink. A lovely Pink colour that sits between Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo on the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel. The Country Flowers bundle is a gorgeous new bundle from the Annual Catalogue and the one I have chosen for this week's card. Pretty In Pink has been teamed with Smokey Slate and Old Olive. I have used Stampin Blends to colour both the floral spray and the bucket that the flowers are arranged in. These have been popped up on Dimensionals onto a piece of White and then Pretty In Pink card that have been die cut using the Spotlight On Nature dies. The cascading flowers have been die cut using dies from the Country Flowers dies and In Colour Designer Series Paper and the same in Regals. In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added to the flower centres. The gems have a gorgeous glimmer to them. The White background card has been embossed using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and has a narrow edge of Pretty In Pink Bordered ribbon on both top and bottom. A few Pretty In Pink Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots have also been added to the White card. These dots are gorgeous and look like they have a crackled appearance. All of this has been mounted onto a piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. The sentiment, from Simply Said has been White embossed on Pretty In Pink card. In an endeavour to not end up with a lot of retired Designer Series Paper at the end of the catalogue, I have added more to the inside of the card. It has been die cut using one of the Radiating Stitches dies. To cover a bit of a booboo using too much glue, I have added some more die cut flowers and leaves to the top corner. Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation. If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then you can hop over to our host Cathy Proctor where you can see a full list of tonight's participants. As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message. As always enjoy your week.Theresa
