This is a lovely red and white Syracuse China Carefree cup and saucer in the Mayflower pattern. It’s in excellent condition without chips cracks or crazing. The saucer is 5-3/4” in diameter; the cup is 2-1/4” tall and 3” in diameter. I will combine shipping on multiple orders and refund any overage.

Hello everyone, Today, I was playing with photoshop for awhile adding a softer look to some of my photos. This old cupboard is up in our sunroom. The dishes in here are mostly odds and ends of vintage china. The photo above is one I took a couple of years ago and the one below has been given a softer vintage look in photoshop and I am not sure which I like the best. What is your opinion? Antique biscuit jar c.1910s. This jar is marked "Made in England" by "L & Sons". This is a porcelain jar painted with a soft butter yellow field and and blue bird against a trellis of pink roses. The metal handle and jar opening trim is marked "EPNS" and has a bee stamp (Electro Plated Nickel Silver). Biscuit jars are highly collectible and this one is a beauty. There is some glaze crazing, consistent with its age and what appears to be a crack but it does not go through the jar; it's a glaze crack. There is a chip off the inside of the foot that cannot be seen unless you turn the piece upside down. Pretty collectible that would look lovely on a side table, bookshelf, farmhouse kitchen or to add to your collection.Please see the photographs to see the condition details up close. Please look closely at the photos as this cup is so unique that it is difficult to describe! You know 'A picture is worth a thousand words"! The cup is square and sits on a multi-footed base. The saucer has four distinct "sides" attached to a central square shaped middle. All of the design is hand painted and features numerous large pink roses and lavish gilt scrolls against a pale-yellow ground in multiple panels or vignettes around the cup and saucer. A pale blue is used to outline each rose vignette and is also used as a border on the upper interior edge of the saucer. A single gorgeous pink cabbage roses is painted in one corner on the cups' interior. Colors are bright and vivid! The Royal Sealy Stamp is clear on the bottom of each piece. Teapots from any vintage are difficult to find in good condition - it's usually the spout or lid that gets chipped. They were also expensive to make and buy, often costing as much as the rest of the teaset combined. Silver or plated pots were often used instead as they are less prone to damage. An exquisitely decorated China lidded Biscuit Barrel made by Barkers & Kent Ltd. of the Foley Pottery in Stoke on Trent. The delicate decoration is of swags of romantic pink roses with garlands and baskets of pink roses suspended at intervals. Absolutely lovely. The piece is in good condition, some wear to the gold detail around the rim, a small defect in the metal twisted handle, but otherwise very good. The makers mark appears on the base dating it to between 1898 - 1941. Barkers & Kent were established in 1889 in Fenton, Stoke on Trent and operated from the Foley Pottery. The Biscuit barrel measures 14cm tall and 14.5cm diameter.
