Please follow the instructions while installing the decal: Step 1 Clean the application area with alcohol or soap & water. Step 2 Using a squeegee or credit card, press firmly on the decal to ensure that the decal sticks to the application transfer paper. Step 3 Peel the paper backing away from the decal very slowly. Step 4 Apply decal to cleaned area, pressing firmly using squeegee or credit card. Step 5 Slowly remove transfer paper. Be careful not to pull the decal away from the cleaned area. If decal starts to pull off, repeat step 4. Step 6 Admire your freaking sweet decal.

Given the current unicorn craze, I thought I'd pull out this project from my Valentine Drawing eBook so teachers could try out one of my tutorials. I started making them in this step-by-step format way back when my after school drawing classes actually got too large to handle. I had to find a way for students to work independently, and drawing up these tutorials and letting students choose from several each week worked wonders. Note: If you want to match the proportions of my sample, use fold a 9" x 12" sheet of paper in half and draw the unicorn on the front. It will make a pretty cute card!

I just have to express how awesome and amazing my kiddos are! Usually multiplication is SO hard! So all week I have been teaching and modeling the different strategies I had on this graphic organizer I made! Each day we would do a quick review of the one from yesterday and then teach the new one that day! During guided math we would practice the strategy they learned that day too! So today we finished all the strategies on this sheet! During guided math today I decided to give each student a blank copy of the graphic organizer. Then I wrote 8 different multiplication problems on the board. I gave each student a different problem. They had to fill the graphic organizer out all by themselves without my help! And you know what...not one needed my help! AND they all got 100%...Are you kidding me???? They are going to ace their mini assessment tomorrow! Or so I hope! Check these out! I found this picture on Pinterest but the link was broken! This is how I am going to do this! Since now the Common Core has 3rd graders just multiplying to 10 that is what I am going to do. And instead of arrays only, I am going to give them a choice of showing the problem from one of the options on the graphic organizer. I created these cards to cut out and place in a jar. click the picture to get the cards for free:) Each student will pull out a problem and have to solve it with one of the strategies on an index card. Once they have it complete, they will show me and then glue it in the right spot. Then, they can do another one. I hope they like it! I will post pictures when it is complete! Two for Joy is an original hand pulled coloured linocut print. The image was created using the jigsaw method of applying coloured ink to the print before overlaying the final detailed master block. As you can probably see from the photos this is a time consuming (but worthwhile) process. All the individual pieces are inked and then assembled before pulling the print. The colours I have used are semi translucent which give the print a subtle, muted beauty. This particular print was inspired by a pair of magpies that regularly frequent my bird table. I love seeing them and listening to their distinctive chatter. The image measures 17.5cm X 12.5cm and is printed on to 150gsm Zerkall soft white paper using Caligo Safewash inks. The print is sold unmounted and unframed. The print will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class in the UK and international tracked to all other destinations.

Hello everyone! It is time for another Designer's Challenge for Karen Burniston's Pop It Ups. The theme for June is Summer Lovin'! Make a project to celebrate Summer - this could be nature, or beach or 4th of July or anything that means "summer" to you. For this months challenge, I decided to make a Beach Adirondack Chair Pop Up card. For the front of the card I used the Beach Edges from the Pop It Up collection along with the Dotted Scallop Squares and the Fitted Squares from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The words were created using the "It's a Boy/Girl die", Alphabeth 1, and Alphabet 2 dies. For the inside of the card, I used the Adirondack Chair Pop IP die along with the Beach Edges, Outdoor Edges, Baby Charms and the Rainy Day die sets. I have added the sun from the Oval Pull card die along with the pail from the Palm Tree and Pail die set. The birds were stenciled with the Stage It Stenciles.
