Reading what somebody else has written about you is a bit like reading your own epitaph. Except you're still here! The whole process can be a little scary. But I always appreciate the chance to explain what my work is about to various arts publications. It's a good discipline to condense thoughts do

Welcome to my shop of unusual and eclectic wall art decor for the discerning lover of new art. All pieces are my own, limited editions, signed and numbered. My digital art prints begin with a 3D or AI image, heavily edited from that point with collaged overlays, textures, overpainting, adjustments, and added elements. There is often a strong bent toward the surreal, but along the way my work leans heavily on pre-Raphaelite, Renaissance, Flemish, and Medieval schools of art, as well as pop surrealism and other newer schools. The finished product has a modern quality while staying true to the older schools. This proof has been professionally giclee printed on sturdy Hahnemuehle fine art paper with great attention to detail. The "artist proof" is the first printing of any piece, sent to the artist for approval before the remainder of the edition is printed. As such, it is a one-of-a-kind print, and will read "AP" in the lower left corner, where other prints in the edition are numbered. It is a completely finished high-quality work, just as all prints are, but it is a single print that stands alone from the larger edition. Because of this, the print has greater intrinsic value and the cost will be somewhat higher. Giclee printing offers wonderful color fidelity and excellent image longevity. This print is 8 inches by 8 inches. It has an additional 1" white border, which provides you with greater latitude for matting and framing. If you like this piece, and have an Instagram account, please visit (or follow) me there at https://instagram.com/alisasmithwilliams/ I generally post new work each week to Instagram. If you see something there that catches your fancy, please let me know and I'll put up a listing for you - just message me. Thank you so much for supporting new artists through Etsy! I greatly appreciate your interest and support!

Hello! My name is Nathanna Érica and I'm an illustrator and paper artist based in São Paulo, Brazil.
This is for those that have so graciously asked many times about my Cinderella Design plate. As I do know that the original design will not be published again, I think sharing it might be a good idea. It was first published in 1985 at my daughter's request. As you can imagine, Granddaughter Emma wore a Cinderella dress and it was one of her favorites. With focusing on family in recent years, it was so frustrating not to get things done as I had planned. However, after so many requests for it, I just thought that it should be shared. Now comes the problem. Remembering how to add photos to this blog and have them readable. So, in that light, I have tried to create pages that you might use to recreate the design. The Cinderella design is not a complex design but I think that it is probably an intermediate level for most smockers. I hope that the photos that I have prepared will give you enough information to smock this design for someone special. Here you will find the graph and stitch-by-stitch instructions taken from the original design plate. I hope that those that have asked about this design can find it here. I love smocking and really love seeing it being enjoyed as our Miss Emma so often did. The dress she is wearing is actually one done by a commercial manufacturer who used the Cinderella design with a few changes...without permission and without any design credit. Oh well, Miss Emma wore Cinderella and totally enjoyed it. Happy Smocking, Gwen

This is LadyBirds Series 1 #3, a photo-collage print from the mind of Eric Knisley. The print is humorous and shows a lady/bird hybrid getting her equally weird-looking daughter ready for school. Their matching outfits are hugely satisfying to look at! They glow with the energy of a happy home. A benevolent TV set gazes down on them from the ether. This series has been called "perfect guest bedroom art", and I have to agree--the series is humorous and easy on the eyes, perfect for a guest area! I started doing the LadyBirds series after being inspired by the work of famous Surrealist Max Ernst. His animal-headed images were really interesting to me, and led naturally to me making some similar images of my own. I hope you find them amusing and interesting. All prints are signed by hand.
