A few of my favorite things from this week. 1. This quote by Gilda Radner. I love the idea of "making the best of it." Easier said than done, especially when you are in the thick of it...whatever the "thick"...
Like vs. Love
Hey folks, Here’s the second half of my Paris adventures! We woke up a little late the next day and looked outside the window of our AirBnB flat to find another glorious day outside. Beautifu…
i realize that this is true of me. part of me wants to be proud of these facts. but honestly, these are sad things to recognize in oneself. galatians 5:1 says "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." by being burdened by past losses, i am not allowing myself to be free. and freedom is what we all long for, isn't it? i know i'm lame, but i love disney princesses. i just do. i especially and typically like belle. my cries for freedom often remind me of one of her most famous lyrics: i want adventure in the great wide somewhere. i want it more than i can tell. and for once, it might be grand to have someone understand i want so much more than they've got planned. i suppose the grand thing for me is that Someone does understand my desire for more than "they" have planned. i want more than the typical, more than the expected, more than the ordinary. i want adventure. but as cs lewis once said, that is to be expected, for "if i find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy, i can only conclude that i was not made for here." my desire for freedom, for more, for adventure, it's only satisfied in the One who placed it in my heart, who planned my adventure, who pieced my life together.

Whether or not you believe in love, use these philosophical Friedrich Nietzsche quotes to help you dive into the world of romance (or lack thereof).
“When you want something all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” On my sixteenth birthday, a close friend of mine gifted me The Alchemist by Paul Coelho. The novel wasn’t just any fictional story but within it held prominent and heart-touching philosophies that served as a method of motivation and encouragement for me […]

I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do for my last class today. I was supposed to assist pool, and my pool uniform is nowhere to be found. It was in the locker room (along with a ton of other pool uniforms) and got misplaced in the hustle and bustle. I figured I’d…
