History of the Heptarchy, the seven kingdoms of Anglo-Saxon England.
NOTE: This is an older version of the Heptarchy map. I have uploaded a newer, updated version that is more accurate to the time period. Handpainted and researched map of medieval England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. In this era of political division, the seven Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms (the Heptarchy) are on the brink of disaster as the Vikings are about to begin their first raids on the British Isles. The writing is in old English, although the font used was not developed until a later period of the Medieval Age. High-quality giclee print available at various sizes. The actual detail is greater than in the photos, which have been compressed for Etsy. This piece took roughly one week to research, draft, and paint. Unfortunately, I do not typically sell my prints with the frames but if that is something you are interested in, please contact me directly. Additionally, if you are interested in the original rather than a print, please contact me directly.
