Aloha friends! Summer is flying by for me. I cannot believe it is already July!! I had a list a mile long of things I needed to do and I have barely made a dent. However, I have been enjoying myself a great deal, swimming, working out, catching up with friends and binge watching lots of Netflix!! One thing that I can cross off my list is finishing up my Grammar Centers for the Reading Wonders series. Actually all of my Wonders products are complete now!!! Each of these units covers the grammar skills that are covered in the Wonders units. They are great for Daily 5 word work rotations or small group activities. Each unit comes with activities that cover a skill and a practice sheet for reinforcement. Much more engaging than a workbook! Each also has a color and black and white version to make printing easier and more affordable. I also have Morning Work for each unit. These include practice for grammar, spelling and vocabulary for each unit. The skills begin simple and spiral through the year. My kids did so well with this format this year! Finally, I have Spelling Lists for each of the units that include printable lists for On-Level, Above Level and Approaching, vocabulary words and definitions, high-frequency words and sentences for spelling dictation. Spelling Unit 1 is free in my TpT shop to give you an idea of what's included in the other packs. It does not include everything that I added to the other units. I guess I should add that to my list ;) Hope your summer is progressing well and that these resources will come in handy down the line.

March spiral review worksheets for second grade are a great way to start the day. These worksheets can be used for morning work or homework.
Let's face it. Morning work routines can be tough in the elementary classroom. You're busy gathering parent notes, collecting papers, taking lunch count, answering messages, and making sure your students are ready to go for the day. It's a LOT to keep track of! My advice is to keep it simple AND keep it consistent. When students arrive knowing exactly what is expected the moment they walk through the classroom doorway, it helps everything to run more smoothly. Taking any guesswork out of the morning routine is key. Here are five suggestions for morning work ideas and routines in the

Kindergarten Morning Work Math and Reading- NO MORE COPIES! I created this morning work especially for those of you that don’t want to stand at the copier making copies constantly, or for those of you that are limited to a certain amount of paper allowed for copying, or just want to save your precious time for other more important things! All you have to do is pick the activities that you like. Make copies back and front on cardstock. Laminate, and put together with a ring, in a folder, in a binder, or any other way you want. Make enough copies for each student. Once you make these you can use for many years to come. Students use dry erase markers. You decide which pages students will work on for that day. You can make some students work on one skill while others work on a different skill. (Great for differentiation.) You can let them move around the room to complete the number of the day. (They can use the calendar to help). You decide…maybe you can let them pick their favorite activity page on Fridays. They can collaborate in groups with some of the activities. I hope you enjoy this morning work! Please make sure to check out the preview so you can see exactly what comes in this product. Are you looking for some new greetings to spice up your daily class meetings? Here are some awesome examples of Class or Morning Meeting Greetings in action! 1. My name is ___ and I can do this! Love this greeting! Students individually introduce themselves and perform a unique action. The rest of the class repeats and mirrors the action. 2. Dice Greeting. Instead of greeting their direct neighbor, have students roll a die then greet the student sitting that number of spaces away from them. Knock, Knock. Great call and response greeting for practicing individual speaking skills in front of a group! One-Minute Greeting. Quick, simple, and to the point. Find a partner, look them in the eye, greet them by name, and shake their hand. Pass It Around. Students sit in a circle and pass a special item while greeting their neighbors. Would be fun to use themed items throughout the year! Partner Skills Match. Students are randomly given sets of matching partner cards, such as fractions and pictorial representations. Students find and greet their match before returning to the circle. Love how this could incorporate so many different learning skills! Hope these have inspired you to shake things up with your Class or Morning Meetings! If you have any favorite greetings that you use with your class, please share them! My students and I always love to try new ones! If you liked reading this post and want to learn more about Classroom Meetings or Morning Meetings, take a look at the following blog posts.
