Carne & Hueso — Monotypo Studio This is stunning. One of the best brands I've seen this year.
One of my favorite parts of being in the wedding industry is meeting all of the amazing vendors that work together to celebrate a couple's first day as husband and wife! We’ll be highlighting some of these talented professionals in what we’ll call, Friendor (friend x vendor) Friday! These are the best of the best that we absolutely love working with on wedding days. Our recommendations to my lovely Bride & Grooms are currently all located in St. Louis but stay tuned, we'll highlight other cities shortly! ;) Meet Kaitlin! Owner of K. Hart Events. What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite part is getting to meet new people all the time! Whether it’s my couples and their friends and family, or the incredible vendors in our industry (like you!), I love that I’m constantly making new connections and forming new relationships every day. What makes your business different than others? I always strive to connect with people. I love being able to hang with my clients like we’ve been friends for years, and ensuring they feel the same way around me. Trust is a huge part of hiring someone to help you plan your wedding day and I don’t ever want my clients to feel like they can’t trust me, my vision, and my capabilities. What is your favorite thing to create? Why? This might sound silly but this is a tie between a good tablescape and a detailed timeline. There is no feeling more satisfying than seeing a perfect table set-up come together as a beautifully finished product, especially when it started out in my brain as a million different ideas. And I live off the minute-by-minute details in a perfectly structured timeline. Watching a plan come together just as you imagined it is what gives me life! What’s one thing you couldn’t live without? Why? My phone. I would die. It’s my lifeline to not only my family + friends but also my business and I literally wouldn’t be able to function without it. It that bad? If you had to only eat one thing for dinner for the next year, what would you eat? Mexican food, hands down! What’s one small business in St. Louis you love? This is so hard! I have so many that I love in so many different sectors. I’d say Mulligans Grill, which is one of my husband + I’s favorite spots to eat + drink. It’s a family owned restaurant that’s been around for years and you feel that every time you walk in. We love that it’s always filled with familiar faces and not to mention they have the best wings in town!

Irish town Dundalk’s first taproom Mo Chara encourages friendship and unity, being the dream product of three childhood friends. In keeping with the name, which means ‘my friend’ in Gaelic, the pub has been bringing good beer and good times to the local people since its opening, including local design studio Grandson; the team responsible for Mo Chara’s striking identity.
The logo represents the perspective of a field with the sun on the horizon, something that connects directly with the name, Alvor, synonymous with dawn, the first light of the day. Also, it represents the fields, organic fibers and the letter A, from Alvor. The patterns represents the fields divisions seen from the sky. All of this together manages to convey the feeling of a friendly environment, a fundamental concept for the brand.

The economics of regional farming, in the face of global market forces, continues to be unfavourable to local producers; narrowing margins and pushing some out of business. Alongside this, unfair and self-defeating politics continue to chip away at a basic message; locally grown food is a good, not just in a regional economic sense, but ...
