Decades after physicists happened upon a stunning mathematical coincidence, researchers are getting close to understanding the link between two seemingly unrelated geometric universes.

Italy's Seletti has been blending its artful creations with inspiration from everyday life since the 1960s. Part of the light-hearted Seletti Wears Toiletpaper collection (created by art figure Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari), this tongue and lipstick mirror features a cheeky design that's halfway between a mirror and a painting. The attention-grabbing image originates from TOILETPAPER magazine, founded in 2010; it's provocative and eccentric – why not continue the boundary-pushing theme and hang it in your bathroom?

Drawn to different directions at the same time, Culver embraces that contrast in her works, and in herself.
