3D projects, Mini Album, Dilo en Español,
Paper Hoarder Disorder has done it again!!! This is her pattern for her wonderful Gate Fold book that is available at her Etsy shop. It was a really fun project to work on. I chose to use Graphic 45s new Bontanical Tea papers for this album. I am so loving working with this paper. I had got the new G45 collections in the mail a couple of days before I got the pattern so it just seemed it was meant to be! lol Anyway, this is the top of the box with a close up of one of the flower sprays. I titled it "Cherish" as I feel these papers just make you want to cherish whatever you add to it! I, of course, stickled everything. The flowers come from my stash. The little pink and white sprigs are from the cake decorating section from Michael's The pearl swirls are from Want2Scrap and were purchased when I went to Expo last month. I had purchased several different locks and latches from eBay last month and decided I might as well add one here so this is the one that worked best for this box. Upon opening the box, you will see that papes are attached to each fold down side. I decided to do this one mirror image. I want to create another one where one side is baby girl and the other baby boy. It has six full pages on each side (so 12 individual on each side) so would work great for baby's first year. For the first pages I used some of the punch out flowers from the G45 collection. I did add tiny roses to the centers and, of course stickles. The leaves are a MS punch. There are two pockets on this page that each holds a little tag booklet. The bird charms are from Michael's. Since this album was made mirror image, I will just show one set of pages and you can imagine the opposite effect for the other side. lol I tried to make this album very interactive so lots of pull out tags and pockets and such. On this set I used some of the banners from the punch outs to create little fans and stuffed them in the pocket. The pocket lifts up to reveal another pocket with a little three page tag pull out. I used little flat backed pearls to add dimension to this page. The rose on the pocket was fussy cut and then topped with glossy accents. The second page pocket has two tags from the collection and an envelope made from one of my old sizzix dies. It contains a little pull out tag. The next set of pages are very simple.....nothing too fancy at all. The first page contains a tri fold opening held shut with magnets. The metal corners and metal finishings are from eBay. The butterfly is from a MS punch with a layer or stickles and then a layer of glossy accents. The leaves are from another MS punch. A little stickles and this set is done. The next set of pages are scraplifts from different creations off Pinterest. I saw the fold out album as a mini album itself on Pinterest and thought it would just be kind of different added to a page. As you can see it opens as a tri fold with the top housing a silly little tag. The second page is really simple with a door effect. The flowers on this page are silk ones from Micheal's. I pulled them off their stems and added a little stickles along with a flat backed pearl for a center. The metal decoration on the first page is from eBay but I added a center that came from Micheal's. It was actually a thumb tack item as well as the "Family" piece on the door. I removed the pin parts and they worked really good, I think. The next set of pages were a little bit of experimenting. I bought some embossible window plastic from JoAnn's and just had to play a bit. I embossed it and then scored it to fold and make the clear pocket. You cannot see the embossing very well so was a bit dissappointed in the finished look. I used a very narrow edge off a EK Success punch across the top and added tiny pearls. Said pocket holds a fold out mini album which contains a little pocket of it's own holding two little stamp stickers from the collection. . On the second page is a pocket containing two more tags from the G45 collection. The tiny banner is also made from punch outs from the collection. The last pair of page sets is again more pockets and foldouts! The first page consists of two pockets holding little fold out tags. I used a MS punch for the heart borders and added pearls. The tag tabs and the stamps are stickers for the G45 collection. The pull out on the second page is a mini fold out that I also got from Pinterest. I used a Nestie die to cut the flap front. The pearl border was another purchase from Expo. And, once again finished it off with a little stickles. I created the pocket out of paper from the collection. The final page is still another pocket page with a tri-fold mini pull out. I used a border die on the pocket from Magnolia. The leaf die is from a new die I bought at Expo from Heartfelt Creations. They have some wonderful dies! I left the bottom and the inside of the lid plain as I thought they could showcase a 5x7 photo if you desired. Each page is a pocket page and contains fold outs. I use a glass accent that I had glued to paper and fussy cut around for the pulls. I really like how they turned out. Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting my blog. I watch a lot of Marion Smith's Youtube videos and like a lot of her designs and collections, but I have never bought any of her printables as I have SOOOO much paper and craft stuff! I saw this little project on her youtube channel and saw the printable was only $5 and I could use a lot of the stock I already had. The video for the project is embedded at the bottom of this post. It was so simple and easy to make (with a few little hiccups along the way) and I have so much fun making this little project that I plan on making it again with some other papers.
Hello, Graphic 45 Fans! It is time to share another Graphic 45 project with you! I had such fun playing with the NEW Lost in Paradise collection a few weeks ago (see the project HERE) that I decided to dip into the papers again, along with some other (retired) collections, and make a mini album! This chunky monkey mini is 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" in size! It is a nice, square, chubby book! I confess, I was a bit afraid of all the color and print in this paper collection. I finally had to throw caution to the wind and EMBRACE the vibrant colors and just create! There are six pages inside the book, plus a waterfall inside the front cover and a big pocket inside the back cover. This book is jam-packed with pull outs, flip ups, tags, and more! I have used four collections for this mini, but don't let that scare you! There is plenty of paper in one collection, if you have the 12x12 collection pack and the 12x12 patterns and solids pad, to make this book. If you add in and 8x8 pad and a package of ephemera cards, you will be all set! I have used: Lost in Paradise, Tropical Travelogue (I used the original, but you can use the Deluxe Collector's Edition), Nature Sketchbook, and Safari Adventure. You may be able to find Nature Sketchbook or Safari Adventure on Ebay, but they are both retired. To see all the pages and inside content, please view the video below. For the tutorial, keep reading. I have a photo tutorial to explain how to create the album base, plus a few tips for decorating. Also, I have used a different hinge mechanism than the one I usually use. I have been finding that the old hinge piece is not always working the way I wish. So, I tried something else this time. See the directions below. Start off with three pieces of heavy to medium weight chipboard. Cut two pieces for the covers to 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". Cut the spine piece to 6 1/4" x 2 1/2". Splice together black cardstock to make a piece that measures 8 1/4" tall and 17 1/2" wide. Place your chipboard pieces onto the cardstock, with a one-inch border all the way around. Make sure to space your spine chipboard piece approximately 1/4" from the cover pieces to allow the album to open and close without cracking the cardstock. Cut the corners of the cardstock an an angle, as shown. Add double-sided adhesive to the tabs. Then wrap your cardstock around the chipboard to give a finished edge. The book will have six pages (12 sides). To make the hinges, cut six pieces of heavy weight black cardstock to 6 1/8" x 1". (I used 110# cardstock.) Score each in half, fold and burnish. (Only five hinges are shown above, but please make six. One of my hinges was in the book before I thought to snap a photo!) Place double-sided adhesive on one side of each score line, as shown. To add your first hinge, line the fold of the hinge piece up with the very edge of the spine chipboard piece, with the fold on the LEFT. The 1/2" hinge will stick up, and the 1/2" gutter will be attached, as shown. For the second hinge, place the fold to the RIGHT and overlap the gutter from hinge number one. The gutter for hinge number two will be up against hinge one, as shown. For hinges three through six, make sure the fold is to the RIGHT. The gutter for each hinge should be placed up against each previous hinge, as shown. There should be a 1/2" gutter between each hinge. For hinge number six, line up the fold of the hinge piece with the very edge of the spine chipboard piece, with the fold on the RIGHT. This is what your project should look like so far. The six hinges will cover the spine piece. Each hinge is 1/2" high and there is a 1/2" gutter between each hinge. Cut five strips of decorative paper to 6" x 3/8" and sponge the edges with Abandoned Coral Distress ink. Attach one paper strip to each hinge gutter, as shown. Fold the hinges back and forth to make them more flexible. You can see in the photo above the gap between the spine and the cover chipboard pieces. I like to reinforce that and with the old hinge system, the space was always covered. With this type of hinge, we need to add a covering piece to the front and back inside covers to reinforce the gap. (This is optional and personal preference.) Cut two pieces of black cardstock (use weight 65#-80#) to 6 1/8" x 1 1/2". Score both pieces at 1/2" and add double-sided adhesive to the 1/2" tab. Place the 1/2" section on top of the first hinge to secure it in place (this will make the first hinge a double thickness). Once the piece is attached to the hinge, glue the 1" section to the inside front cover. Burnish and gently score the spine gap. Repeat with the last hinge and back inside cover. Trim two pieces of decorative paper to 6 1/8" x 6 1/8" and attach to the inside covers. (Sponge all papers for this project with the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink or Decades Rustic Orange, if desired.) To create the waterfall section on the front cover, cut six panels from black cardstock to 3 5/8" tall by 4 1/8" wide. Score on the longer side at 1/2". Round the corners opposite your score lines. Fold on the score lines, making sure to fold the 1/2" tab to the back of the panel. Place double-sided adhesive onto the resulting 1/2" tabs. Start at the top edge of the cover and add your panels. Line up the first panel with the top edge of the cover, in the center. Continue to attach the panels, lining up the folded edge of each panel to the bottom edge of the tab of each previous panel. Trim thin strips of paper to place over each tab, covering the black cardstock. These strips are approximately 3/8" x 4". Place a magnet onto the bottom center of the top waterfall panel. To see all the pages of the waterfall, view the video linked above. Cut a strip of cardstock to 4 1/2" x 1" and wrap it from the bottom of the cover up to the top waterfall panel. (I managed to slide my strip under the paper attached to the inside front cover.) Add a magnet to the strip. The magnet will line up with the magnet you placed on the first panel. This will also help your waterfall to stay neat and tidy. Cut decorative paper to cover both sides of the strip. Add an embellishment to the top, if desired. Add ephemera cards and decorative paper to each panel. The papers are cut to 3" x 4". Round the corners, as shown. Let's add the pages to the mini. I like to add my pages first, and then decorate them. I have fewer mishaps if I do it this way! Trim six pieces of heavy weight black cardstock to 6 1/8" x 6 1/8". Round the corners on one side of each page. Place adhesive on the left side of each hinge. Attach a page to each hinge. Trim decorative paper for each page. Each decorative panel should measure 6" x 6". You will need twelve (12) pieces. Once you have paper on all the panels, you can decorate as desired. Inside front cover and page one. The ATC tags make great tuck spots. The photo booklet on page one is 4 1/8" x 8 1/4" black cardstock, folded in half. Decorative paper folded inside and held with twine makes a fun place for some journaling. Pages two and three. Here is a wonderful example of the Lost in Paradise Collection working together perfectly with the older collections! The pocket on page two measures 6 1/8" x 3", which means you need to cut your cardstock to 7 1/8" x 3 1/2" and score on three sides at 1/2" to make the pocket tabs. Fussy cut images, popped up with foam tape, make great pockets and tuck spots! Pages four and five. The Graphic 45 tags and tag dies are prefect for this style of project. To create the band on page four, cut a border strip from the decorative paper, and attach on either edge with foam adhesive. Use a chipboard element as a "stopper" to keep the little accordion mini from sliding out of the book. The angled pocket on page five is easy to make. Cut a square of cardstock to 6" x 6" and cut it in half diagonally. Set one of the resulting triangles aside. Score the triangle on the two 90 degree edges at 1/2" to make the pocket tabs. Attach the pocket to the page. To make the booklet, trim black cardstock to 4 1/8" tall. Then splice pieces together to make a length of 15 1/8". Score every 3 1/8" to create five panels that are 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" each. The 4" x 3" ephemera cards are perfect for this accordion fold booklet. Lots of space for journaling! To see close-ups and the other side...you guessed it, view the video! Pages six and seven.Tuck spots and fold outs, oh my! Use an ATC tag as a tuck spot on page six. To create the flip-out piece on page seven, trim black cardstock to 10 1/4" x 5". Score at 3" and 7". Glue the center section to the center of page seven. Pages eight and nine. Photo booklets are a great addition to any album. And these sweet butterflies make great tuck spots for an ephemera card! The photo booklet on page eight is 4 1/8" x 8 1/4" black cardstock, folded in half. For page nine, fussy cut butterflies and pop them up on the page to create tuck spots. Pages ten and eleven. A riot of color! The pocket on page ten measures 6 1/8" x 3", which means you need to cut your cardstock to 7 1/8" x 3 1/2" and score on three sides at 1/2" to make the pocket tabs. On page eleven, a chipboard element makes a great tuck spot for another photo booklet. Page twelve and the back cover. Use a chipboard element for a tuck spot on page twelve. For the inside back cover, create a large pocket, as shown. Trim black cardstock to 7 1/4" x 4 1/2". Score on three sides at 1/2" from the edges. Fold the tabs, then add adhesive to the tabs and attach the pocket to the inside back cover as shown. Trim decorative cardstock to 6" x 3 7/8" and attach to the pocket. Use a circle punch to cut a notch on pocket edge. Decorate the pocket and place tags or other items into the pocket. (Too see all the tags for this project, view the video linked above.) I always decorate my front cover LAST. I am pretty rough on the covers while I am decorating the inside, so I like to save the covers until the end. Use a section of the Lost in Paradise Signature Sheet for the front cover. You need to cut a piece that is just slightly smaller than 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". I cut a piece of computer paper to size, and used that as a template to select the portion of the signature sheet that I wanted. This step saves wasting paper with false cuts! I fussy cut two postage images and popped them up on a few pieces of scrap chipboard to give the upper left corner of the cover some interest. I fussy cut lots of flowers, a bird, and a butterfly from the various papers and then layered them in the lower left corner of the cover. I added a few Matte Pearl Gems to the flower centers. The cover is fairly simple, but very striking with all that lovely paper. Cut paper for the spine and back cover and attach. I added a chipboard piece and more pearl gems to the spine. I used ombre sheer ribbon throughout the book. I used a yellow/pink ombre and a yellow/parrot green ombre. (Really Reasonable Ribbon has some lovely Sheer Ombre Ribbons.) I love seeing the ribbon peek out around the edges! Thanks for joining me today! Bonjour à toutes, week-end repos et créatif ! j'avais envie de me relancer dans la conception d'un tuto pour un mini. il faut dire que j'adore ça ! J'espère qu'il vous plaira et qu'il est clair ! Voici le mini : Si vous l'utilisez, je vous remercie...
Good morning, Crafters! I have a sweet, summertime tutorial for you today! If you are trapped inside with the air conditioning roaring, then it's the perfect time to whip up this little cutie! My monthly mini showcases the Authentique Summertime Collection! This is the perfect collection for these hot, humid, end-of-summer days! This summer collection comes with six different sheets and 12 patterns, However, the collection has TWO sheets of cut-aparts, Summertime Five and Summertime Six. If you purchase the paper pad, you get four of each pattern. That is plenty of paper to make this mini album! This mini is 5" tall and 3 1/2" wide (similar to the Meadow Mini Album, shared HERE). There are three pages, with lots of fold-outs and flaps, plus TWO waterfall sections! Let's get started on the tutorial. Cut two pieces of medium weight chipboard to 5" x 3 1/2". Cut one piece of chipboard to 5" x 1". Trim dark blue cardstock to 7" x 10 1/4" and attach the chipboard pieces to the cardstock as shown above. Make sure to maintain a 1/8" gap between the spine piece and the cover pieces of chipboard. Trim the cardstock corners at an angle and attach double-sided adhesive to the tabs. Wrap the chipboard as shown. Gently fold the covers while scoring in the 1/8" gutter (or channel) between the spine and the covers. Trim decorative paper to fit over the center spine section. Do this BEFORE adding your hinge mechanism. DO NOT add paper to your inside covers until AFTER you add your hinge mechanism. Create a hinge mechanism from dark blue cardstock. Cut the cardstock to 4 1/4" x 4 1/2". (The 4 1/4" measurement is the height of the hinge.) Score on the longer side at: 1", 1 1/8", 1 3/8", 1 5/8", 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 2 7/8", 3 1/8", 3 3/8", 3 1/2". This will make three hinges that are 1/4" all with a 3/8" space between hinges. Attach the hinge to the spine of the book. Line up the scored 1/8" "gutters" on your hinge to the gutters on your album. Gently burnish and fold all your score lines. Trim decorative paper to add to the inside of your covers. Trim three pieces of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and add one piece to each hinge. Glue these "base pages" to the left side of each hinge. (Don't worry. Your decorative papers will cover the other side of the hinge.) Create a waterfall section for the front cover. Trim the dark blue cardstock to 4" x 3 1/8". Score each piece at 1/4" from the top edge. Use a corner rounder to round the bottom edges. Cut four waterfall pages. Attach the first to the top edge of the dotted paper by the 1/4" tab. Add each waterfall page just under the previous page. Add magnets to keep the waterfall closed. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the right edge. Round the left-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the left edge of the first base page. Cut a second piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the left edge. Round the right-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the right edge of the first base page. Add magnets as desired. Close the left flap, then the right flap to finish the first base page. Turn the page and work on the BACK of the first base page. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 5/8" x 3 1/8" and score on the bottom at 1/4" from the edge. Round the top corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the bottom edge of the BACK of the first base page. Add a pocket to the bottom of the second base page. Cut dark blue cardstock to 2 3/4" x 3 7/8" and score on three sides at 1/4" from the edges. Fold on the score lines and attach the pocket to the page as shown. Flip the second base page over and work on the BACK. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 5 1/2" and score on the long side at 2" and 5 1/4" from the left edge. Round the left-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the left edge of the second base page. Cut a second piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the left edge. Round the right-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the right edge of the second base page. Add magnets as desired. Close the right flap, then the accordion fold the left flap to finish the second base page Add a pocket to the bottom of the THIRD base page. Cut dark blue cardstock to 2 3/4" x 3 7/8" and score on three sides at 1/4" from the edges. Fold on the score lines and attach the pocket to the page as shown. Flop the page and work on the BACK of the last page. Cut a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the right edge. Round the left-hand corners. Attach the 1/4" tab to the left edge of the third base page. Cut a second piece of dark blue cardstock to 4 7/8" x 3 3/8" and score on the long side at 1/4" from the left edge. Round the right-hand corners. Attach the flap to the right edge of the first base page. Add magnets as desired. Close the left flap to finish the last base page. Create a waterfall section for the inside back cover. Trim the dark blue cardstock to 4" x 3 1/8". Score each piece at 1/4" from the top edge. Use a corner rounder to round the bottom edges. Cut four waterfall pages. Attach the first to the top edge of the dotted paper by the 1/4" tab. Add each waterfall page just under the previous. Add magnets to keep the waterfall closed. Now your mini book is ready to decorate! I trimmed a piece of white, adhesive-back canvas to cover the spine of my book. Then, I added the yellow and white dotted paper to the front and back covers. I kept the cover simple by adding a word grid sticker and a bit of pretty ribbon. (The sticker is VERY OLD and I have no idea where it's from!) I double-matted the sticker and added it to a bit of scrap chipboard before gluing it to the cover. I found the cute crab button in my stash and thought he would like to end his days decorating the bow! I used a banner die to cut out the spine decor. I used a Tim Holtz brad to dangle some charms from the spine. (I have a bin of charms and a bin of beads, most of which have been with me since the early 1990's! I add to them from time to time, so I really don't remember where these particular items came from!) I added the fun Summertime papers to the inside sections of my book, and then just added a few stickers and other bits and bobs to decorate each page. The Summertime cut-aparts are the perfect size for my pages... and to fit into the pockets! I have no idea how long I've had some of these stickers! I almost never reach for stickers, but I am happy I still had these in my stash as they worked perfectly for this little book! I found clear stickers, and 3-D sticker, and word art...just a treasure trove! With TWO waterfall features, there is a lot of space for photos and journaling! If you want to see each page, watch my little walk-through video below! I hope you are inspired to beat the heat and make a little end-of-summer mini! Thanks for joining me today! Coucou, me voilà de retour aujourd'hui pour vous présenter le projet que nous avons réalisé en atelier la semaine passée. Hello everyone! My today's project is for the Graphic 45 Design Team, where I was given an assignment to create an easy travel themed mini album. So... Thanks to the nature of the Cityscapes collection which I used, it is indeed a travel mini, but also a music related one because of the headphones and the design - I created a music player with a CD holder (Mini Album). The album was created to fit into the 5” X 5” Black MixedMedia Box. The base of the discs were cut from the Photo Mats, which came with the box. The perfectly sized die for cutting the base of the disks was the largest from the Double Stitched Circle dies by La-La Land Crafts: The perfectly sized die for cutting the mats of the disks out of patterned paper was the largest from the Stitched Nested Circles by La-La Land Crafts, while the center of the disk was cut with the smallest of the Stitched Nested Circles . To punch out the foiled disk centers I've used the circle punches of the 0.5" and 3/4" size. The opening for taking out the disk was created on the tracing paper with the help of the Bandaid Die from the February 2016 Club Kit by La-La Land Crafts. Here are the additional pictures of the player and the mini album: The pictures below will give you an idea about the inside photo mats: If you want to create a similar project by yourself, you could find useful the following measurements: Chipboard for the album: Covers – 4.5” X 4.5” (x2) Spine – 4.5” x 1 3/4" Hidden Hinge Binding for 6 pages: 4 1/8” X 8 3/4" On the long side score at: 1.5” > 1 7/8” >2 1/4" > 2.5” > 2 7/8” > 3 1/4" > 3.5” > 3 7/8” > 4 1/4" > 4.5” > 4 7/8” > 5 1/4" > 5.5 > 5 7/8” > 6 1/4" > 6.5 > 6 7/8” > 7 1/4" Black cardstock for the pages: 8 7/8” X 4 1/4" On the long side score at: 4 1/4” > 8.5” Black cardstock for the mats: 4 X 7.5” On the long side score at 3 3/4" Tracing paper for the CD pockets: 4 1/8” x 4 1/8” There is a video for creating the headphones at the bottom of this post. It is not a tutorial, but it can give you an idea about putting them together. 3D Vignettes were introduced almost 2 years ago and along the journey, our readers have begged us not to abandon the concept but to keep adding on. As always, your wish is our command! Introducing 3D Vignette Mini-Albums. When the first 3D Vignettes came out, we fashioned them into mini albums using the familiar side piece and slots but now we've made it permanent with a Universal Hinge. Plus we've added a whole collection of dies you can use inside the mini-album including two new shaped card profiles and a new Cinch and Go Cottage Bloom Flower that can be used as a dimensional flower or a flat flower inside the mini-album. Stay tuned as you see a mini-album from each Creative Team Member and card that highlights one of the dies used in the mini-album. About 3D-Vignette Mini Albums When the response to the first 3D Vignette cards turned into mini albums blog hop brought such a positive response, readers asked for more. Becca designed an easy to fold Universal Hinge that makes it easy to convert your 3D Vignette cards into Mini Albums. Staying true to her mix and match budget sensibility, of course, all of the elements of this new collection can be used to make flat cards, can be used with original 3D Vignette designs, and older 3D Vignette dies can be refreshed and used with the mini-albums. Best of all, if you have ever been too overwhelmed to create a mini-album or a scrapbook page, take heart. Since your choices are mix and match, we've taken all of the guess work out. The small format is card-sized which makes it do-able for those of you accustomed to working on a small card size project. We've made albums that are tiny up to 6 x 6" and 8 x 8. My project for Today: First up is S5-408 Grand Vaulted Cabinet Etched Dies 3D Vignette Mini Album Collection by Becca Feeken. S5-409 Universal Accordion Fold Spine is an unmissable die that agrees with any mini album. This die is so helpful. Making the spine is so easy and quick. To create this Mini-Album I used a delicate and pastel paper from Loveland Collection from ScrapBoys. For most of the pages I used a gold paper under a cut dies. I used a 3D Interactive Pivot Banner to make a little surprise for people watching this album. You can put little photographs inside or have the decorative square. On the last pages I put a Woven Trellis Side Pocket where you can get more photographs. I used S4-1025 Sweet Cottage Flowers to decorate the first page of my mini album. Here is what the die I've used in my mini album looks like: For my project today I made a mini album for Valentine's Day. There are lots of places where you can put your photos. In addition, I've made a card using the same die I used in my mini album. I used a Candlewick Squares Dies from Candlewick Classics Collection. Then I have used a new beautiful baskets with flower die. This is a Grateful Thankful Blessed 3D Layering Dies from new Collection. It looks beautiful alone and works perfectly with S5-408 Grand Vaulted Cabinet. Availability: These dies are available right now on the Spellbinders website —–> HERE In the meantime, be sure you leave a comment on this post and on the post of every Creative Team Member for a chance to win an Amazing Paper Grace Die from any previous collection from Becca's Die of the Month offerings. Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke Hello everyone This weeks project is one I'm sure you will love, a cute mini album! I saw the idea for this album on Pinterest by Monkia Weiss and I couldn't wait to make one. The tutorial that Monika has on her blog was in German so I used the handy google translate and off I went. Her tutorial is also in cms so I decided to convert it to inches as I find it much easier. This is also the project that my Sunday evening zoom craft group made last weekend, every Sunday evening we meet up on zoom and craft together, everyone is welcome so if you would like to join us please drop me a message on Facebook. For the album above I used the beautiful Ornate Garden Speciality DSP which is a brand new product that is available now and part of the Ornate Garden Suite. This suite is featured in the new upcoming 2020/21 Annual Catalogue and is available as an early release, click here for the details. I used the Ornate Frame dies and the Love What You Do stamp set. To make your album you can use either a 12" x 6" piece of DSP or 2 6" x 6" pieces of dsp. The original tutorial used one 12" x 6" piece but in my tutorial I used 2 6" x 6" pieces as DSP comes in 2 sizes and I wanted a way of using either. If you chose to use the larger size then you will need one whole sheet of DSP cut to the following 12" x 6" Then cut the other half in half so you are left with 2 6" x 6" If you are using 6" x 6" you will need 4 sheets, these can all be the same or you can coordinate them. For the front and back cover you will need 2 squares of thick card, I used the backing card from a pack of dsp, Cut to 4 1\2" x 4 1\2" For the pages you will need 5 pieces cut to 8 1\4" x 3 7\8" and then 2 pieces 4 1\8" x 3 7\8" Whisper White card Fold the 5 long pieces in half (4 1\8") Some ribbon approx 20" long Here is the album I made in the video, I used the Dressed To Impress stamps and dies along with the Best Dressed DSP, The ribbon is the Organdy Striped Ribbon in Powder Pink. I Love the handbag die in this set and for the front I used the main panel of the bag and then cut it down to fit on the front. It is embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing folder, which is retiring soon so be sure to get one while you can! Here is the video These are some of the supplies I used today Dressed To Impress Bundle (English) [153832] £45.00 Best Dressed 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Designer Series Paper [151319] £10.75 Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder [146335] £8.25 I do hope everyone is safe and well and I'm looking forward to sharing some new product and projects from the upcoming new Annual Catalogue with you soon, remember I am only a click away so if you have any questions about Stampin'Up! or any of my projects then please ask away! Until next time, Happy crafting! Gemma xx

The Chapter 4 Sizzix Release is exciting for so many reasons- there are two never-done-before designs! One is the Full Size Journal which is a Bigz Pro size- you will need a machine with at least a 9" throat to cut this die- like a Big Shot Plus or Pro. Not to worry- if you don't have that machine, Eileen will have the pre-cut pieces available in her Etsy store for you to work with. The other new technology is a 3D Embossing Folder! It's called Sweater and is oh so cozy. Also new this release is a Bigz Notepad die with lots of options for materials and uses, and a Heart Mandala Thinlits to decorate with! There is a GIVEAWAY too- leave a comment on each of the designers' blog posts and you will be entered to win one of the new dies! Another prize will be given to someone who attends and comments in the Release Party Facebook Live. The Full Size Journal First up-, The Full Size Journal, I am absolutely loving it! It's already my favorite sized journal for making mini albums, measuring 6" x 8 3/4" and nearly 2" thick. There's so much room on each page for photos and journaling. I used Graphic 45's new Halloween collection, Midnight Tales, to craft this mini. Scroll down a ways and I have a flip through video of the mini showing you all the pages and giving you some background information. Flip-Through Video On the left, at the bottom, I made two pockets using Eileen's Pocet die from the Folio Page, Pocket & Flowers set. Then I added a cut-apart over the two pockets in the center. I made a waterfall page using Eileen's recently released Waterfall & Tags set. I made tuck spots and tucked in different sized tags made with Eileen's Waterfall & Tags set. On the right side is a Sizzix die-cut file folder, cut with a really old Sizzix steel-ruled die. Eileen's tags. Each page of the mini is a pocket page so I put a large G45 tag inside each page pocket. This is a "wild and crazy" page! Not only does it have a flip up, when you flip up the top page a fold out page is beneath. On the right fold out flap is Eileen's needle book and in the center are more of Eileen's tags. Needle Book, File Folder The Bigz Notebook Die This was made with the Bigz Notepad die. The notepad is 3 5/8" x 4 3/8". Hi Doodlebug Friends! It's Traci and I'm back to share my project for our Pinterest Inspired Challenge. I came across this fun little fol...
Recently I've been seeing lots and lots of 3D paper projects on blogs (personal & company blogs), pinterest and more. Some of these projects are created from bought instructions/patterns while others are made using new dies that cut chipboard and paper. Here are a few things I'm referring to.... and there are tons more if you look. Everything from shoes, mini sewing baskets, furniture, rocket ships, air balloons, tea cups & saucers, paper "pies", pineapples, lighthouses and so much more. My question for you.... What would you do with all of these things? I know from my own personal experience that I have a tough time finding room for everything I make which is why I end up giving so much of it away here on the blog and to my Mom. I can't imagine trying to find places for all of these creations. While they are beautiful and I'm sure very fun to make...who has room to store it all? I seriously gave thought to buying some of the house dies but dang...if you really got into it you could have a whole village before too long and again, where would you put them? I guess this is where the practical part of me kicks in...if it doesn't have a use or I can't easily hang it on the wall or send it in the mail, I just don't bother making it because seriously, how many more things do I really want to dust (when and if that dusting mood ever strikes)??? I have a few 3D projects I've made that I really love and will keep but I just can't see having loads of the stuff sitting around. Let me clarify...someone reminded me that I do make 3D things as gifts or when I get requests...I just don't make many for myself to keep. Maybe I'm weird and just don't get it... I guess that's why I'm asking you all.... Thoughts??
Hi, everyone! Today I have an Envelope Mini Album to share with you. Resources I used to learn how to do this: Envelope Page Tutorial by The Paper Boutique Hidden Binding & Covers Tutorial by Ginger of My Sister's Scrapper My Envelope Mini Album Each page of the album has a card in the pocket that folds open and comes out of the pocket. I didn't take photos of every single page like I've done in the past. Please forgive me. :) But here are some photos that will give you the idea of the album style. So here is the inside cover, a couple of photo mats in the pocket, and the card also in the pocket with the flap hanging over the backside of this page. Here I have the card flipped open. Thanks for visiting with me today. If you ever want to make a mini album that feels more like a book, GINGER is definitely your go-to gal for video tutorials.
