....is the name of my latest finish! (I changed it slightly because I found a pattern name by its original working title!) Straight line quilting in a grid formation Here are some close-ups I shared on IG.... I added some hand quilting to the white stars I have had this quilt finished for a while now, but wanted to get some 'glamour' shots while I was on holiday in north-east Victoria. Bright is always beautiful during Autumn.... and I did have my trusty quilt holder with me! While we were away, I visited a friend who had found this great backdrop for me..... so we couldn't resist a couple more photos! This is the old Wandiligong cool store.... No plans for a Grand Designs renovation here, I'm afraid! I am giving this to a dear friend soon. Lifetime Quilt number 105 5th quilt finish for 2019 Happy sewing! SUZ

Buy three, get one free! Add 4 patterns to your cart at the same time, from my Ravelry Store, and the least expensive one will be free. Thank you so much for supporting my designs. Like the perfectly aligned hands of a clock at midnight, the exquisite center spine stitches of Meet Me at Midnight are designed to beautifully meet in the middle. (Be sure to check out those edge stitches too, which are are equally divine!) These features, combined with fun and surprisingly simple to knit bands of mosaic and texture will make this knitting project one you’ll not want to put down. Meet Me at Midnight is an elongated triangular shawl, knit flat, from the top down. Its gorgeous mosaic pattern is surprisingly simple to knit, using just one color per row to create stunning results. The pattern is easily followed, including charts only for the mosaic sections. Not familiar with reading charts? I encourage you to give it a try! Mosaic charts are super simple to follow and the accompanying pattern notes will easily navigate you through to becoming a Chart Reader! Yarn The Fibre Co has assembled 9 gorgeous kits for Meet Me at Midnight. Kits include 3 skeins of LORE plus the pattern pdf! Please click here to be re-directed to their site. Meet Me at Midnight is gorgeous all knit up with The Fibre Co’s Lore. My sample is knit using 2 high contrasting shades for the mosaic sections, plus one light/mid tone shade for textured bands in between. Hi friends, Today I am sharing a new quilt finish and a favorite pattern I haven't sewn up in a while - the Petunia version of my Pivot quilt. Petunia is a new line by Kimberly Kight for Ruby Star Society and it's full of fun florals, ladybugs and turnips! The color palette can be used all together or split in half for a pink and orange palette and a softer blue and purple palette. I decided to use them all to create a fun rainbow flow of shapes on my Pivot throw quilt! Fabrics Used: A throw size Pivot pattern calls for 14 fat quarters - I decided to use pieces from each fabric in the line so there will be leftover fabrics if you choose to use a fat quarter bundle. Pivot shapes: Petunia Fat Quarter Bundle Background fabric: Petunia Buttercream Springs Yardage Backing and Binding fabric: Petunia Macaron Paper Garden Yardage Quilting info: For my quilting I used my Janome 6700p sewing machine and the curvy stitch option - I believe that is stitch number 8. Make your width 9 and increase your stitch length to 2.5 or 3 - I also recommend using your walking foot and guide bar for this stitch - I kept my guide bar at 3/4
The Garden Glow design is a spin-off design inspired by one of my best-selling and personal favorite patterns, the Sky Cabin Quilt. I wanted to push my creativity further by creating a block-based design that is fat-quarter friendly, drawing inspiration from my adoration for tile floors and intricate mosaics.
I am burning the midnight oil these days getting ready for our Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet. Here are a couple of the printables I have worked up for the various Angry Bird needs we have. I don't have anything made up yet, but here are the printables. Above are the little birdies and pigs that I plan to use when making the napkin ring-like thingies. This... This... And This are labels for the photo cubes {Finished product to be shown off shortly}. These are tiny pigs I am using for the centerpieces. These... And these are slightly bigger piggies for the bean bag toss game. These are the biggest piggies. I was going to use these for the bean bag toss game, but now I think they might be too big. These too. This... and this are for the blocks that are part of the centerpieces. These are the faces found HERE for balloons, I just shrunk them smaller to fit either small balloons or the foam balls {only $.98 at Walmart} I am using on the tables. These and... These are the birdies I am using for the beanbag toss. OK, wish me luck. Now to take all these hours of printable-making and turn them into actual things. Have a Great Weekend!!!
