This Jean-Michel Basquiat framed print features a reproduction of Trumpet (1984) by Basquiat, an artist whose work is featured in MoMA's collection. A native New Yorker, Jean-Michel Basquiat made graffiti under the tag "SAMO" as a teenager, and produced postcards and T-shirts before establishing his studio practice. Though his career lasted barely a decade, Basquiat continues to have lasting relevance as a bridge between graffiti and the gallery, and as an influence on subsequent generations of artists. Jean-Michel Basquiat: Trumpet Framed Print is printed on heavy watercolor paper and framed in black solid wood with a white acid-free mat and gallery acrylic finish. Wired for hanging. Made in the UK.
