Hello again! I'm popping in today to share a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It's a lovely sketch, and lends itself perfectly to my favorite kind of design - clean and simple, with a little bit of graphic thrown in for good measure! Here's this week's sketch: And here's my interpretation of the sketch: I used the Gift Tag Die-Namics to create the dome-shaped aperture from a 4" x 5.25" Smooth White panel. I adhered some rainbow-order strips (colors listed below) that I created using the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-Namics onto the card base so that they aligned towards the left side of the aperture. I die cut the Scripty Smile Die-Namics, three times from Smooth White and once from Black Licorice card stock, and I adhered the layers together with a glue pen. I die cut some of the flowers, stems and leaves from Smooth White using the Stitched Garden Die-Namics. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below. Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the fabulous projects that my fellow teammates have created for this week's Sketch Challenge. And while you're there, why not link up your own take on this week's Sketch Challenge for a chance to win $50 MFT Bucks to be used at the MFT Online Boutique! It's a random draw, so everyone that plays has a chance to win! That'll do it for me today, folks! I'll be back very soon with more crafty stuff. Until then, thanks for stopping by and have a great day! MFT PRODUCTS USED:

Here's this week's MFT Wed Sketch Challenge #468. And here's my take on the sketch. I just couldn't resist using some Bitty Bears! The Christmas text background was stamped on Grout Gray card stock and topped with four bears, per the sketch. The stamped sentiment and a sprinkling of enamel dots finished off the card. Visit the MFT blog for all the details on how you could be the random winner of a $50 MFT gift voucher when you enter the challenge!

You can enter your cards for this week's challenge in the Inlinkz Link Up at the bottom of this post. We're welcoming Kay back to the Challenge blog today, with her take on this week's sketch. Kay used the circle element from the sketch to create a layered scene complete with a sun, cloud and a brightly colored scalloped circle as a backdrop. She embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black card stock to really make it stand out against her colorful, bird-inspired landscape. Francine was inspired by the circle on the sketch to create a wreath for her sweet bird image. She combined multiple stamped flowers and leaves in a circular formation and completed the design with the sentiment nestled between the foliage clusters. Joy created a raised panel with a die-cut window, allowing the stenciled brick wall to peek through. She added a collection of images from the Recipe for Happiness stamp set and completed the design with a stamped sentiment heat embossed on a bold red card stock strip. Congratulations, Kerri Michaud! You are the randomly selected winner of last week’s sketch challenge. You can view all the entries for last week’s challenge HERE. Now, it's your turn. Welcome to another sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. For this week's sketch, I've used the Main Squeeze stamps and dies along with the Distressed Patterns splatter stamp. I really like how this turned out. Also made a coordinating envelope since I had a few pieces that didn't fit on the card front. Isn't the yellow pretty? I'm not usually a fan of yellow, but since they are lemons.... LOL. Only needed foam tape on the top most piece as there is plenty of dimension and texture from the leaves stuck into the chicken wire die cut. This is what started it. :) Product list: My Favorite Things, Main Squeeze stamps *retired My Favorite Things, Main Squeeze dies *retired My Favorite Things, Distressed Patterns My Favorite Things, Smooth White cardstock My Favorite Things, Black & White Stripe 6x6 paper pad My Favorite Things, Lemon Drop dye ink cube Hero Arts, Chain linked Fancy Die Copic, Xpress it blending card Copic, Sketch Markers YG17 YG21 YG23 Y00 Y02 Y18 Foam tape

Welcome to the last sketch of 2016! What a wonderful year of creativity it's been, and we hope to see more of you in 2017! Below you'll find Sketch 313. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20. Join me in welcoming back Emily Leiphart one last time as our Guest Designer this month! You can visit Emily's blog Art From The Heart for more inspiration. Let's see how she interpreted her last sketch with us: The panel of this sketch is made for all kinds of creative possibilities, and Emily took the opportunity to create a dreamy and colorful look with the Wavy Coloring Book Background stamp. The sentiment from the Kind Words stamp set paired with the Kind & Kindness Die-namics in a pretty sparkly silver make for a delightful design with the pretty kitty from the Cool Cat stamp set. The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 313! Torico created a pretty panel by masking with the Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics to complement the busy bees from the Fly-By Friends stamp set. I love how the Mini Chicken Wire stencil creates a beehive look, and the sentiment on red pops with its cheery sentiment. The pretty Roses in Bloom Die-namics take front and center stage on this simply lovely design from Jody. For this card, the panel is left pure white to feature the rose and a simple sentiment. Vika eliminates the rectangular panel, but the large flag from the sketch is left in tact to feature images from the Polar Bear Pals and Chill Wishes stamp sets. What a perfect design for a winter birthday card! Donna features a delicious drink created with the Cool Cup Die-namics in place of the rectangle, and her sentiment from the Stay Cool stamp set blends well with this delicious treat. The Chevron Grid stencil adds frosty interest to the card base. Instead of a rectangle, Anna frames her little scene featuring the Strike up the Band stamp set and New York Skyline Die-namics with the Stitched Oval Scallop Frames Die-namics for a different take on Sketch 313. What a delightful greeting! Like Emily, Julie features a sentiment from the Kind Words stamp set and a cool panel created with the Wavy Coloring Book Background stamp. What a fresh and pretty color combination for this striking design! Congratulations, Laurie Pickerel! You are the randomly selected winner of last week’s sketch challenge.
