Hi Everyone! I'm excited to bring you some brand new files that are in the Lori Whitlock SVG shop and coming to the Silhouette Store! Memorydex scrapbooking is making a comeback! They are perfect for documenting weekly favorite photos, December daily, recipes, events... whatever! I decided to use this Memorydex box for my weekly photos. My goal is to do a card a week in 2020 documenting my favorite picture of that week. Take a peek... I started with the new Memorydex Box and Cards file (SVG, Silhouette). I decorated the base box using some Doodlebug Design Love Notes collection and Abigail Alphas. I then created cards for my first two weeks of 2020. For week one, I used one of the new Memorydex Foldover Cards (SVG, Silhouette) I love how you can decorate the front of the card, and add extra photos on the inside! It's great for when you can't pick just one photo to document! The base of my cards are Doodlebug Design Petite Prints. I used some Sweet Summer Stickers to document our recent trip to the Keys. For week 2 I used one of the new Memorydex Scalloped Cards (SVG, Silhouette) I made a set of all the new cards that coordinate with the Memorydex Box, so that it's easier for me to keep up with documenting my year! Memorydex Foldover Cards (SVG, Silhouette) Memorydex Scalloped Cards (SVG, Silhouette) Memorydex Envelopes (SVG,Silhouette) I put together a quick tutorial showing how to assemble to box, you can find it over on the Lori Whitlock Blog. If you make a Memorydex box using this file, we would love to see your projects! Be sure to tag Lori Whitlock on Facebook and Instagram so we can see! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Hi everyone I’m back on the blog today with a first for me… Memorydex® cards… ooooh :-) I purchased a Memorydex® months ago, spray painted it pink (of course) and then left it in the corner of my craft room forlorn and lonely. My mum had to make me some cards to put on it, so I decided I finally needed to get involved
Snippets of My Life and Scrapbooking
I love creating MemoryDex cards! Here are 4 using Blooming Wild to go into my perpetual tray. I purchased this mint wooden tray a few years ago and am filling it with cards made with all of my American Crafts scrapbook collections: Go the Scenic Route, Wonders, Bungalow Lane, Splendid, Garden Shoppe, and now Blooming Wild! This is a continuation of my Pink Paislee MemoryDex (click on that link to see them ALL!) which coincidentally filled up completely with my last collection under the Pink Paislee brand, Bloom Street. For the first Blooming Wild MemoryDex card I fussy cut 6 rainbows from Paper 6, poked holes through the stripes, and then used coordinating colors of DMC embroidery floss to stitch through them using a combination of a chain link stitch, back stitch, and French knots. I trimmed a piece of pastel grid Paper 5 to 4x5", used the MemDex Punch to make the holes (I have some available - message me if you're interested in purchasing one!), and machine stitched around it with white thread. I layered the rainbows across the front and placed a transparency "colorful" sticker from the Sticker Book at the bottom. I placed a Mini Flower Puffy Sticker on each rainbow and then scattered hearts from the Puffy Phrase Stickers in the gaps between the rainbows. To finish, I used a Crop-A-Dile to attach an eyelet through the top right corner and then made my own tassel with jump rings and Flower Charms. ***** For the second MemoryDex card I designed a flower wreath cut file and cut it at 4.5" from white cardstock. I had my machine cut out all the little backing pieces from the multi-patterned and colorful hexagons of Paper 4. I spent some time gluing all the tiny pieces in place and flipped it over then said "ta-da!" I love backing cut files :) I backed the open space with clear transparency and then used strips of foam tape to make a ring on the back side. I sprinkled sequins from my stash into the middle and then placed a solid piece of the same floral wreath shape on the back to make a shaker! I'm new to this shaker business and I love it!! On the front I placed "blossom" word from the Puffy Phrase Stickers and topped with a flower also from the Puffy Phrase Stickers. I made the base from the green floral Paper 5, glued the shaker at the top, and it's ready to go into the tray! ***** For the third MemoryDex card, it is actually one I'm teaching how to create at the Crafty Fiesta in a few weeks! I made the base from the pink floral Paper 23. Then I die cut a few hearts from white cardstock and glued them together to make it sturdy. I used my Rolled Flowers Cut File, shrunk them down to less than 2", and cut them from Paper 15 with lots of different patterns and colors. I glued the rolled flowers onto the heart and then attached the heart to the card base. To embellish I adhered a "Love" Chipboard Sticker to the front and topped the "o" with a Mini Flower Puffy Sticker. I tucked leaves from the Floral Die Cuts under the top right and bottom left edges. To finish I made a trio of hearts on the bottom right corner - one from the Cardstock Stickers and two from the Puffy Phrase Stickers. ***** I usually only make 3 MemoryDex cards, but I always like to have an envelope filled with info about the collection, so a 4th one was a must! I die cut an envelope from the floral Paper 24, stitched around it after punching the signature holes, then embellished it with Floral Die Cuts, butterflies and a globe from the Ephemera Die Cuts, and a Chipboard Sticker that I topped with the Blooming Wild logo. The cards and tags are from the Journaling Spots and cut from Paper 1 and Paper 9. I wrote journaling, added 2" square photos, and embellished here & there with Chipboard Stickers, Mini Flower Puffy Stickers, Ephemera Die Cuts, and Floral Die Cuts! I've added these 4 cards into my MemoryDex tray and it sits on top of a cabinet in my happy scrappy place! Let me know if you have any questions about any of these cards or MemoryDex in general! I also have a MemoryDex class available here: https://bit.ly/februarymemorydex I absolutely love seeing this tray get more full every 6 months with a new set of cards! Some Sugarplum Wishes cards coming up next! SUPPLIES: Patterned papers, stickers, charms, die cuts, embellishments: BLOOMING WILD; MemoryDex; white cardstock

My friend Pamela introduced me to Rolodex art a few years ago. I had never seen them before and when I saw some of her displays, I was amazed and very much inspired. What an incredible idea. Use Rolodex cards as places where to make art, and then have them on display for inspiration late
Lately I've been experimenting with watercolors. It's been a fun process with lots of mixed results! I've been cutting down my watercolors to make cards that fit in my library drawer. Each day I pull a card and write an inspiration or affirmation to a card. I found that Mykonos compliments the vivid colors that i've been drawn to paint with and have been the papers to add something fun to each card as I go. Can you spot the hysterical mustache made from Mykonos papers? project done by Mou S.
