This is a lovely antique Victorian era flow blue Chamber Pitcher, in the Brooklyn pattern by the Albion Pottery Co. from Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England This ironstone piece features a lovely scalloped edge raised band with rich deep cobalt blue border of roses, leaves and vines. Would look lovely filled with fresh blooms as a centrepiece, or on a side table. It would have initially sold with a wash basin, however they have long been separated. In excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or discolouration Measures: 11” (28 cm) tall 9” (23 cm) wide from handle to spout 4 1/2” (11.4 cm) diameter at base Nib Marked: Accommodation Backstamp: Albion Pottery Brooklyn, and the initials for the original partners Mr. E. Bourne and Mr. J.E. Leigh. I date this as pre-19013, as Bourne left the partnership. The business ran from 1892 to 1941.
