In reference, a wedding toast is more like a celebratory speech for the couple. Usually, a wedding toast is given by the parents of the bride or groom, best man, matron of honor, and maid of honor; if you belong to this, you should probably prepare your wedding toast. Giving a wedding toast can be terrifying, especially since all the important people in the groom and bride’s lives are present. Here are a few things on how to give a great wedding toast and to prevent yourself from stuttering. Give a little background. Introduce yourself to the majority of the guests and how you are related to either bride or groom, this will help them to identify whose side of the wedding party you are part of. Share a little bit of meaningful background information on how you met the bride or the groom during your younger years. Those sweet moments you treasure, the good qualities you see in her or him when growing up and now that they have tied the knot. Leave the past behind. If there’s one thing to avoid during the wedding toast, it’s to bring up any problems that the couple has had in the past. Mentioning any of the issues they have will make the celebration ruin and worst, the bride and the groom will feel awkward. Comic relief Just a friendly reminder, if you are going to state a funny story it should not be at the expense of the newlyweds. You can share a comic relief about those early years of them when they started dating, when one of them took hours just to choose which is the perfect attire to look stunning, or perhaps during the pre-wedding party, the groom is a little bit shy to participate in those daring games, and keep on shouting her groom’s name. It should be light-hearted and universal humor, just to keep the entire guests actively listening to your celebratory speech for the groom and bride. Don’t forget to smile and face the couple Turn your wedding toast into a great one by ensuring that your face reflects the love you feel for the newlyweds as you recite your toast. Always look at your subject which is the bride and the groom. Turning point Mention the moment when the couple has finally felt that they have fallen for each other, and how beautiful of a story it is. .This will leave everyone in the room in awe, of how these two people were able to finally embark on a journey together. Say Congratulations You won’t believe that most of the people who are bound to give their wedding toast unintentionally forget to congratulate the newlyweds. This is the perfect time to congratulate them after all the hurdles and shortcomings they have encountered, finally, they can get married and prepare for the bright future that awaits both of them in this journey. Conclusion Keep it short, simple, and wrap it up nicely. As the one who’s giving the wedding toast, make it a point to have an exemplar closing remark. Ask everyone in the reception to join you in giving honor to the couple by toasting for them. Final Thoughts Be confident during the wedding toast, this is your only chance to honor the couple during their big day. After preparing your wedding toast, count all the “I” in your speech, if you have more of it than the couple, you need to revise it and make the wedding toast focus on the newlyweds. My list is ever growing, but that is a good thing seeing as a lot of things get checked off it quite often! All photos are from Perfect Bucket List via Tumblr, but I found most of them on Pinterest. They just linked back to Tumblr. Goals I'm Working Towards Bake every single thing in a cookbook. I already have it picked out and have been working on it for a while! Naturally, it's a cookbook full of recipes for cookies! Be a stay at home mom. Absolutely! Be called mommy. I hope to be blessed with a lot of children! Be the Maid of Honor in a wedding. Just once is all I hope for, twice if I'm lucky! :) Become a fashion designer. I love to create my own style clothing. I think it would be really neat if I could create clothes which would be sold at a store or online. Become a teacher. I plan to homeschool my children so this goal will more than likely happen! Build a gingerbread house. Believe it or not, I've never actually done this! And I'd actually like to build a gingerbread manger scene instead of a house. Complete a scrapbook. I have several ideas pinned for what I'd like this to turn out as. Complete an entire book of Sudoku puzzles. I have the book...now to learn how to do these confusing puzzles! Convince someone to write their own bucket list. I know I can do this! Create a popular blog. Blue Eyed Beauty is part of this life goal...but I have no control over the popularity of this blog which is the cool part! Dance with my kids in the rain. I want to make lots of memories with my children! Donate my hair to locks of love. When I was young I had really long hair. One day I decided I wanted short hair so I chopped it all off. I was going through my things recently and found the braid of hair. I don't want to keep it so I'm going to see if I can possibly donate it to locks of love. Eat an entire pizza by myself. Silly goal, but I'd like to do it at least once. Find the perfect little black dress. I've found a few which were close, but still don't have one. Finish an afghan. I have several patterns, now to buy yarn and take the time to make one! Finish an entire coloring book. I've never done this! Grow an herb garden. When I get a place of my own this will be one of the first things I start! Grow my own food. I think this is a very important thing. I plan to have a large garden and fruit trees for sure! Have a dog for its entire life. I have yet to do this even though I've owned many dogs! Have a pet rabbit. I love rabbits! They are so cute! I would love to own one; even if it's not for a long period of time I still think it would be fun to have a pet rabbit. Have my own boutique. I actually would like a small shop/cafe with a coffee bar. :) Help end animal cruelty. Which is why I am a member of The Humane Society of the United States. Learn fluent sign language. I will be teaching my children sign language when they are babies. I've seen how it works and love the results! Learn how to knit. I have the video; just have to take the time to learn it now! Learn how to use chopsticks. I've tried so many times and I still can't get it! :( Learn to play the piano. I've tried many times, but I still want to learn this! Let my hair get really long. This should be easy since I will never cut it again! Make gingerbread men. Hopefully this winter! Make homemade ice cream. I hope to find a recipe that doesn't call for raw eggs so I can actually eat it too! Make my own chocolate. I've found some recipes, but need to find the ingredients! Make my own jam. I would love to learn how to do this! Especially when I am growing my own foods! Meet Carrie Underwood. Yes! Meet Dolly Parton. I really think she would be an interesting woman to meet. Meet Miranda Lambert. Please, and thank you! Meet Nastia Liukin. She is amazing! Open my own business. Still undecided on what it will be, but I'm pretty sure this will happen one day. Order an entire cup of whipped cream at Starbucks. This is a goal which will be semi-hard to do any time soon since I live nowhere near a Starbucks anymore. Sad day. But, I'm sure I will visit a town with a Starbucks eventually. :) Own a flannel in every color. Green? Check. Red? Check! Blue? Check! Own a Husky. These are one of my favorite dogs! I would love to breed them! Own a Nikon Camera. Yes please! Own a pair of cowgirl boots. I am always on the lookout for these everywhere I go! Own Toms. Even if it's only one or two pairs I would be happy with that! Paint something on canvas. I would love to do this! Pet a zebra. I imagine it would be a lot like petting a horse. Plant a tree. I will do this when we buy our own place. Plant flowers. At every place I live I want to plant flowers. I love flowers! Publish a Best Selling novel. If I can just get the book finished I might publish it! Put together a cookbook. I am actually working on this! Read every novel written by Nicholas Sparks. I've read quite a few of his books. They are so sad, but I just can't stop reading them! Read the Twilight Saga. I know there's a lot of controversy over these books, but I'd still like to see them. Rescue a puppy. Yes! I will be doing this as many times as I can. Run a marathon. I don't know if I'll ever be able to do this, but it's still something I'd like to try and do one day. Save up $15,000. I can do it! See the Monarch Butterfly Migration. This would be so awesome! See the Statue of Liberty. The only other U.S. Landmark I really want to see. Set up a lemonade stand with my children. Maybe in the future. :) Shake a soldier's hand. Spend an entire day watching Disney movies. I've come close to doing this a few times already! Start a *journal* and write in it every day. I've done this before so I know I can do it again! Start smiling more. I really need to do this. :) Throw someone a surprise birthday party. I had one thrown for me years ago and it was such a blast! I'd love to do the same for someone else! Visit a vineyard. Any vineyard will do. I just want to see one in person after reading about them in books. Visit Ground Zero. Volunteer at an animal shelter. I actually have one picked out...now I just need to go! Watch every movie Audrey Hepburn ever acted in. Well maybe not every single one, but most of them. I'm at least past half way now... Watch my children get married. I do hope that this will happen! Write a book. I have written a few...I need to finish one! Write a letter to myself and open it in 10 years. I have started a letter several times; I just need to finish one!

That's why our etiquette experts are here to answer your toughest wedding party questions. Is it all right to have two maids of honor? Of course! It's your party, and you can have as many maids of honor as you want. But you'll want to set your dynamic duo off in a special way. You might have them wear slightly different dresses from the rest of your bevy of bridesmaids. This could mean a different color, different style or the same color and style with a shorter or longer hem line. Or simply have the two of them march down the aisle together—this way there's no mistaking that they both hold the top slot in the wedding party. If you're having a bridal-party dance at the reception, instruct the best man to take a turn around the dance floor with both girls (separately, of course). Finally, ask your two main maids to give a joint speech at the reception. And don't forget to give your photographer the heads up on this great
