Hi Everyone and thanks so much for stopping by today! I wanted to share the results with you of our live crafting session on YouTube from Friday featuring the AWESOME 'For the Guys' Kit from the brand new Kit Collection from Stampin' Up! In case you missed the video, click on the image below to watch it now. In the video, I make the suggested designs as well as six other alternative designs. But, before I show the projects created, lets look at the actual kit in a bit more detail. Here is what you can make using the kit; The kit is awesome! There is everything you need to make the cards above! And, I mean EVERYTHING! To make the cards above, you don't even need scissors. EVERYTHING is included to make them! In the kit, you will receive the following; The kit includes For the Guys Photopolymer Stamp Set (see below) Acrylic stamp block Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin’ Spot Step-by-step instructions Pre-cut pieces Makes 10 cards: 5 each of 2 designs Folded card size: 14 x 10.8 cm 10 printed envelopes Adhesive to complete projects Printed designer box for storage or crafting on the go: 25.1 x 16.5 x 7 cmWanna see the stamp set included? Click on any of the images above to buy it from our online store now. Would you like to see the projects created on the live stream? Here is a group photo of the 10 projects made; Here are the two designs created using the instructions contained in the kit; I love those designs! They are SUPER classy and VERY simple to make! The card bases are white (its slightly different to Basic White) on one side and Soft Sea Foam on the other. The rest of the cards I made are alternatives. I will add a voting button at the bottom and I would love to see which project you all liked the most). For the alternatives, I used products from the kit paired with other items from my crafty collection (if I used other products, I will list them below) The two cards above were wholly made with items in the kit. The two cards above were made with items from the kit along with a simple layer of card stock which had been embossed using the Wood 3D Embossing Folder (top image - available in the July-December 2021 Mini-Catalogue) and the Checks & Dots Embossing Folder (bottom image - available now). Additionally, in the bottom image, I used the Brushed Metallic Dots (also available in the July-December 2021 Mini-Catalogue). These two images were made using DSP created from cutting up two envelopes. The envelopes are absolutely beautiful and have solid colour on one side and pattern on the others. For the top image, I simply showed the patterned side and the bottom image I cut a strip and showed the opposite side. The trip underneath the sentiment is simply another piece of the envelope. The card below is my favourite!!!! I used a piece of Kraft cardstock (available in the July-December 2021 Mini-Catalogue). I ran it through the Timber 3D Embossing folder (available in the July-December 2021 Mini-Catalogue) and adhered to the card base. For the trees, they are mossy Meadow on one side and white on the other. I simply adhered two of them together and I LOVE the look of this. For the Thank you banner, I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using white powder on Mossy Meadow. I cut this out using a die from the Tasteful Labels collection. For the final card, I used a piece of Paper Lattice and adhered to the card base. Due to the size of the lattice, I actually cut the card base down so that it was centred on the card. For the Thank you banner, I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using white powder on Mossy Meadow. I cut this out using a die from the Tasteful Labels collection and added another piece from this collection cut out using Kraft cardstock. Finally, I added some Brushed Metallic Dots (available in the July-December 2021 Mini-Catalogue). I love the original design cards from this kit and I love the alternative cards made using the kit. Which one is your favourite? Ive told you which one if my favourite and Id love to see if its the same as yours. I have created these cards to assist in building basic vocabulary for animals that would fit into a farm theme. These cards cover some of the following information: Masculine, feminine and diminutives (cow, sheep, chicken, goose, horse, goat, pig) Collective nouns (cow, sheep, chicken, goose, horse, goat, pig) Basic products we get from the animal (cow, sheep, pig, goat, goose, chicken) These cards can be used in a variety of ways. Examples include Matching, sorting and memory games Reading & flashcards. Stick them back to back and bind them together with a metal ring. Children can use them to learn and test new vocabulary. I recommend printing these out on light card and laminating them for durability. I have created a set of posters that can be used together with these cards. Remember this card I posted yesterday? Today, I've got a free tutorial for you. I've included free templates to make your own card. DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE Make sure to print template at 100% 1. Score (and then fold) A5 card, 14.8cm...
To make the waistcoat card you first need to print the template on a piece of A4 cardstock as shown and cut out each of the elements - please note that the full waistcoat front is a single unit, do not cut on the line that shows the overlap. This is designed to exactly fit a piece of A5 cardstock folded in half (this is the colour of the shirt) if you do not use A5 cardstock the measurements are 5 13/16" x8 1/4" With this in mind, cut out each of the elements. The template in PDF form is here, ensure that you have scaling set to none and that the printer is printing in landscape mode. Do not use the image below for printing, it is just a picture of what you will get. This is what you should have when you have cut all the elements out: On the shirt template there is a + between the collar pieces, using a piercing tool pierce the centre. Fold your piece of A5 Cardstock in half (this is your shirt), place the shirt template on the front of the card and secure with clips, carefully cut away the top of the card using the template as a guide, using a pencil through the hole mark the centre point on the collar. Open up and trim the collar off the back of the card. Fold the top points of the collar down to the pencil mark and score the fold, the shirt should now look like this: Next you need to trace the complete waistcoat, the hexagon and the tie bottom onto your chosen Designer Papers, sponge all the edges in a co-ordinating ink and add pen stitching using a Stampin' Write Marker, you should end up with this: Now take the half waistcoat template and use it to draw in the overlap and as a mask to sponge some colour onto the overlap, add pen stitching. Using the template from the mat pack and the 1/8" holes work out the placement for your buttons and use the template to draw the button circles onto the waistcoat, it should now look like this: Using a Cropodile punch 3 3/8" circles from co-ordinating cardstock adhere over the circles you have drawn and add buttonholes using a Stampin' Write marker, it should now look like this: Now it is time to assemble the card. Place a Stampin' Dimentional on the back of the hexagon and adhere under the collar just covering the pencil mark you made earlier on the shirt, add the body of the tie, sliding it under the hexagon and centering it down the front of the card. Adhere the waistcoat body over the top of the tie. To finish off place a dimentional on each half of the collar and fold over the tie, you should now have something that looks like this: I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, believe it or not it has taken me all weekend to put it together! This tutorial is my gift to you as a fellow cardmaker, however, if you teach classes or sell your cards using this please consider using the tip jar on the template page to help motivate me to write more. I will even e-mail you a PDF file of this tutorial if you do :-) Have a great day Lynette

Masculine cards can be some of the hardest to make, but that shouldn't be true! Here are some tips for making easy, yet great, masculine cards.
Hey all! Today I have a really cute Soccer Ball Spinner card to share with you all! Made this birthday card a couple of weeks ago for a super cool 15 year old, who loves everything soccer! The only file I used for this card was the soccer ball that comes from SVGCuts Sports Lovers SVG Collection. This card is super simple to make, so here is how I made mine... Cut out two soccer balls and glue them back to back with a piece of embroidery string or twine running down the center in between the layers. Set this to the side. Next using circle dies, cut a large enough circle out of the front panel of the base card as well as the top layer of your card. Attach the soccer ball cut out using the stings to the top and bottom of the circle cut out, make sure to pull the strings taught. Use strong adhesive. Emboss the top layer of the card if you like, and glue that layer to the top of the card covering up the string ends and sandwiching them between the layers. I cut out a (red) circle border to finish the opening around the soccer ball using two different-sized circle dies. Embellish the rest of the card as you like! SUPER easy! The stamp inside is a combination of stamps I used from Snarky Stamps. Hope you have enjoyed my Soccer Ball Spinner Card, maybe even inspired to make one of your own! Have a great weekend! & Happy Crafting :)
